World Superman Lives: Your Thoughts?

Yeah, I know, I just tought it would be fun to see Cage in the classic Superman costume. And wouldn't he had worn the basic costume in the beginning of the movie?
From what I've read it was a gothic version of the Traditional costume, muted and without a cape.

Actually, from what I've read from the "greatest sci-fi films never made" book, he was going to be wearing the traditional suit, die, come back as sort of Edward Scissorhands/frankenstein with cape and eventually end up with a black Batmanish (meaning it had sculpted muscles) suit with maroon cape. And in the last two suits the S would have been silver against black backround.

Erm.. having done some more research, I'm not that sure if Superman was going to wear the traditional suit after all... Does anyone know if this

was a concept for Burton's Superman or is it for Ratner's or whoever's version? And Does anyone remember a site dedicated to Superman Lives, called "Superman-V.com"? If so, anyone know how to contact the guy or gal who's site it was?

^That's the Ratner/McG era suit from the J.J. Abrams 'FlyBy' script.

ut what would have happened if Ratner had continued along his merry way and done the “Superman” he wanted? What would it have been about? Brendan Fraser, who saw the script written by J.J. Abrams, was impressed. So was Ratner, who filled us in on the storyline and casting plans. “The original movie I was going to be a part of,” Ratner said, “took place on Krypton for about half of the movie. So it was much more otherworldly, and much darker, because there was a civil war on Krypton. You’d get more of the history.”
“The Death of Superman” and the art of Alex Ross.
“That wasn’t just darker, but cooler, in my mind,” Ratner said. “That was what we were going to model the visuals after. When you have to translate it to a cinematic world, it’s a whole different animal, and he’s one of the best Superman artists I’ve ever seen.”
If it’s as dark as Warner Bros. wants for their reboot of Superman , Ratner still has a shot at making it: “Maybe we can go back to it one day,” he said.
But sorry, Brendan Fraser, that’s not a shot for you, too. “I definitely agreed with Bryan Singer that you need an unknown actor,” Ratner said. “I was going to surround Superman with known actors, but it’s important to get an unknown. I love Tom Cruise, but to have someone like him who you see as Tom Cruise would be a mistake.”

Dunno if it's been posted, or if it's out of place but...

It is a bit out of place since by the time Ratner got involved, Superman Lives was already dead, and the J.J. Abrams written movie was completely different thing.
