    Hi!

I wanna compare the Superman movies (with Christopher Reeves) with the TV series "Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman".

So, which one do you prefer:

-movie Superman or "Lois and Clark" Superman?

-movie Lois Lane or "Lois and Clark" Lois Lane?

-movie Perry White or "Lois and Clark" Perry White?

-movie Jimmy Olsen or "Lois and Clark" Jimmy Olsen?

-movie Jonathan Kent or "Lois and Clark" Jonathan Kent?

-movie Martha Kent or "Lois and Clark" Martha Kent?

-movie Lex Luthor or "Lois and Clark" Lex Luthor?

-movie Jor-El or "Lois and Clark" Jor-El?

-movie Lara or "Lois and Clark" Lara?

    What do you think?

I liked "Lois & Clark"s Perry White and the Kents. Clark Kent was better too, but not Superman.

  6. Movie Superman > Show Superman. There is simply noone more perfect that I've seen to play Supes that Chris Reeves. He looked outta the comic pages. It took me a few seasons to accept Dean Cain. But the nature of the show was a romantic action comedy. And Cain was suitable in that.I don't think he'd make a good movie Supes though.I personally feel Chris Reeve 'looked' his best in Superman III.He was at his most muscular, and his face had matured enough but still was youthful. And he had obviously perfected the dual role as Superman/Kent by then, though he basically got it right on the outset.

Show Lois >>>Movie Lois.I don' think there's a sane man walking the earth who would say Margot Kidder is ANYWHERE near Teri Hatcher in the looks department. And I just liked Hatcher's portrayel period.Just being shallow for a minute,Superman could probably nab any woman on earth if he wanted. And he fell for someone like Margot Kidder's smoke-a-holic Lois??!!Teri Hatcher on the other hand:yeah, baby,YEAH!!(in best Austin Powers voice)

Show Perry>Movie Perry.I just liked Show Perry more.A more likeable character to me.

Show Jimmy>Movie Jimmy.Show jimmy was cool.Movie one was annoying to me for some reason.

Movie Jonathan Kent=Show J.K.I don't really prefer one version over the other. They were both good to me.Though you of course got to see much more of show kent.

Show Lex>Movie Lex.John Shea to me played the perfect Lex.Sophisticated,brilliant,cunning,maniacal.Perfection.I love Gene Hackman as an actor, but as I've gotten older and more of a critical thinker versus watching the movies as akid,I've come to not be too keen on Hackman's Lex.Too campy, doesn't strike me as a major threat to Superman, especially since he's a human. Not superpowered or anything. He doesn't detract from the movies, but he doesn't really add much either, other than the odd chuckle in the scenes with himself and Otis.

Movie theme>>>>>>>>>Show theme.I don't think many will argue that the movie Superman theme is one of the most recognized themes in cinematic history. And one of it's greatest. The show theme was ehhh OK I guess, but not in the class of the movie one.No comparison.

Couldn't have said it better. I don't think there's ever going to be any one better than Chris Reeve as Superman, so it is a little unfair to compare Dean Cain to him. But, for the rest, I would say Lois and Clark did a wonderful job of putting together some fantastic actors for the show. Teri Htacher just owned Lois Lane and I thought Lane Smith as Perry White was brilliant.

That makes no sense, the only way you can decide Reeve is the best ever is by comparing him to the other actors who have played Superman.

My only complaint about this show is their Martha and Jonathan Kent, and their Lex Luthor

John Shea was great. Almost too great, he wiped Dean Cain off the screen.

Hmm. I think I prefer the movie Superman in every way to Lois and Clark. L&C just felt like it was trying to make everything hip and now. Screw that, unless you want to date a show don't even try.

-movie Superman or "Lois and Clark" Superman?
Definitely the movie Superman. Christopher Reeve nailed it.

-movie Lois Lane or "Lois and Clark" Lois Lane?
L+C - Teri Hatcher was very good at it. Would've preferred
to see Karen Allen in the original Movie.

-movie Perry White or "Lois and Clark" Perry White?
L+C Perry, only cos he had more to do and more character development

-movie Jimmy Olsen or "Lois and Clark" Jimmy Olsen
L+C Jimmy (preferred the original one from the first series)

-movie Jonathan Kent or "Lois and Clark" Jonathan Kent?
Movie Kent, thought L+C one was good too - bit too preachy though.

-movie Martha Kent or "Lois and Clark" Martha Kent?
    No preferrence

-movie Lex Luthor or "Lois and Clark" Lex Luthor?
Liked both in different ways, and hated both in different ways.

-movie Jor-El or "Lois and Clark" Jor-El?
    Movie Jor-El - absolutely classic

-movie Lara or "Lois and Clark" Lara?
    Movie Lara

Superman- definetly the movie. Dean Cain was rather stiff as Superman

Clark Kent- Dean Cain. The best Clark Kent

Lois Lane- Movie, although Teri Hatcher was great

Perry White- Show. Lane Smith was such a good actor and made Perry such a delight. Jackie Cooper was great as well.

Jonathan and Martha Kent- Show. I really like Eddie Jones, he's a great character actor. However I think Glen Ford's Jonathan would be the epitome of that character.

Lex Luthor- Of all that I've seen then it would be Michael Rosenbaum, but he isn't full blown evil Lex. Between the movie and L&C- Gene Hackman. I know he's very campy and not really the true Lex

    Jimmy Olsen- the movie

Jor-el and Lara- without question the movie

Now if you brought in The Adventures of Superman then that show's Perry White and Jimmy Olsen would be the best out of all of them
