Whatever happened to just making a Superman (or whatever character) figure?

For example, for the new Superman movie, you could get Superman, Clark Kent, Lois (and Son) Lane, Lex Luthor, Jimmy Olson, etc.

Instead, we get 18 dozen variants of superman.

I'm thinking just do some decent figures. Maybe do an accessorie pack and some vehicles (if needed). Maybe even a Daily Planet play set.


Bottom line. Just make some "regular" action figures and let the kids' imaginations do the rest.

I know where you're comin' from. It's like an accessory. that's what they should do, have Supes come with him, and he could be called,"Superman to the rescue Superman."

Star Wars is different because the little kids get slaughtered by the bad guy. So if Lex snaps his neck in the film then maybe.

I guess if it were like Star Wars, Lois Kid would come in a 2 pack with another kid who made a 1 second appearance in the movie.

Gotta get as many figures out there, right?

I'm ready to see some figures of Lex and Lois, Perry, Jimmy, Ma Kent, all the main characters. I understand their need to sell that many Supermen, kids like Superman better and like to play with all the accesories that he can bust out of or destroy.
