Watch Lois & Clark. Or Superman the animated series. Smallville is the worst interpretation of Superman. It ruined Lana, ruined Clark(by making him killing his own father), among other attrocities.

Clark didnt kill his own father. The choice he made killed him. Thats indirect. My goodness. Smallville is exactly what it is. A way to introduce a new generation to a new version of the superman mythos. Welling is a good actor, though he has his crappy moments. Lana is not ruined. They will bring her back before the show is over. I respect ur opinions my friend except on the part where you say clark kills his father. Its not like he walked up to him and smoked him in his chest and caused the heart attack.

He did. And intentionally. Jor-el told him that if he went back in time, universe would find a balance. Someone else would die. He doesn`t even think. He just goes and say "I have to do this"

A hero doesn`t chose a life over the other. A hero choses both. Thats why even Spider-man didn`t chose MJ over the kids in the movie. He saved both.

So, it was, to me, a terrible written episode. In that episode, Lana shouldn`t have died, should`ve know Clark has powers, no marriage(THey`re what? 17? 18?),no bul**** like that and his father should`ve died of natural causes like in any Superman or good hero story.

Thats still not killing him. instead of stopping at lana's accident he went home to meet lionel. You want to blame someone, blame lionel for causing the heart attack, with indirect assist by clark mucking with the timeline.

anyways that discussion is what the smallville board is for. Moving on....

Man...the reason he didn`t stop it was because there was no accident. Just be smart. They even show the death passing from Lana to Jonathan. They stare at each other. Clark did kill his father or, at least, started the chain of events that would make his father die. He is no Superman to me and will never be.

Very well my opinion differs. Moving on. We can debate this another time on the smallville board if you choose to venture there.

THe episode was so bad that i thought i was watching Final Destination. I`ve talked many times about this ****TY episode...Time to move on...

I agree with SpiderDaniel, it was stupid. And it was followed up even worse, with crossing over into the afterlife and spirits....

Urgh

It sucked.

Jonathan Kent dying of natural causes in STM was the nicest way to go, hopefully SR kept that intact.

Correct me if i`m wrong but someone said that in this afterlife episode, Clark even say he was sorry to his father for chosing Lana over him...More bul**** and poor writting! :down

it's like spider-man. With great power comes great responsibility. :spidey: Spidey will always feel guilty for his uncle's death even though he never pulled the trigger that killed him.:(

^^ Exactely. Just terrible. :down Superman is not Spider-man!

Superman for all seasons is the only Superman story that got his motivations totally right and perfectly to me. When Clark looks at all those buildings destroyed because of the Tornado and says to his dad: "I can help thinking i could`ve done more!" No guilt. No deaths. Just the right thing to do.

Just amazing. Now thats a good origin story!!!

meh it worked welling enough for me. hell may johnathan will be resurrected at some point anyway.

Resurecting Jonathan? Eh I could see it. Maybe his ghost will come back as a Magic Witch thanks to Kryptonite and inhabit the body of Lionel and kick Jorel out

Throw in some regular Lana/Clark angst and Lana saying 'its over' for the 40th time and yes....it is.

Obviously the episode predictably ends with Chloe saving the day, shes a walking plot device.

Hey Kane, I thought you didn't want to talk about Smallville on the SR board......hypocrite!!!!

You guys clearly werent listening when I said to stop... so I might as well continue.

Yea your probably right......what could you do about it anyway ya know!!!
