The third is supposed to have a stronger emphasis on the team with more insight into the charatcers as well as huge action set piece's like True Lies:)
I won't be able to resist downloding the trailer on tuesday before seeing it with MI-3

Oh yeah, definately. When it comes out online, I'll watch it there first. I like seeing that bad boy on big screen though. I like making comments after the trailer as well, like for the teaser, after it was done, everyone was quiet and I said, "Thats right" pretty loud, I heard a few people laugh. It was fun. Maybe I'll try a Superman chant this time around. :)

Well the reason I want to see it on the big screen is to see peoples reaction.

Its always good to go see how people will react. There hasn't been much reaction for the teaser when I've been, just silence. I don't know if its for surprise and excitment or because the people just want to be quiet. I did hear a few whispers throughout the theatre after it was done though.

We are gonna need a thread for "cinema reactions" to the trailer:up:

I'm suprised one hasn't been started yet. And with that, I'm sure one will pop up soon.

This is that thread :)

There's absolutely zero reason to sub-compartmentalize every FLAVOR of reaction into a separate thread.

^I'm waiting in anticipation for the "Routh had one hair out of place thread" and the "should the blue on the uniform be cobalt or more of an aqua" thread.

This is the thread for our views,IMO a separate one for general audience reaction would be ideal, this thread will be chaos and views will be lost come Tuesday

So then it's chaos. The other thread will become just as chaotic, man.

the ideal would be people reading and thinking before they post, but we both know that's not happening. But "general audience reaction" thread? What does that even MEAN? We're not an audience? How are we going to talk about people we don't know and then center an entire thread on GUESSING what's in other people's heads?

We fanboys just love making everything way too complicated. :)

If we're going to have an audience reaction thread, it should be seperate from female audience, which should be seperate from a children's reaction thread. I think there should be a thread for every sex, age, race, blood type, and fanboy level out there.

fatboy, are you the same fatboy from milleniumfalcon.com? I've alwasys wanted to ask. You seem like the same person .

There is only one Fatboy Roberts on teh interweb as far as I know, and he is I, and I am him, slim with the tilted brim WHAT'S MY MOTHERF***IN NAME?

(5 points to the guy who knows where that quote comes from)

I was also the Fatboy from Corona's Coming Attractions and OperationSombrero but now I'm the Fatboy from KUFO-FM and Walkingcarpet.net and cortandfatboy.com

I get around :)

Is the trailer going to be released online officially mid-week, or will it just be the satellite thingies? When will it be released officially in HD? Anyone know, or are we just playing it by ear? I was already going to see MI3, but I won't be able to wait until Friday for the trailer.

LOL seriously neither of you were around for the BB trailer or the suit pic,you got to make a reply to someone and before your press submit 15 more posts have been posted and your on another page,Trailer=madness on the hype
The idea behind the audience thread is one that has been used for BB
It's purpose is merely for ppl to give a quick post on what the audience they watched the movie with's reaction was like to the trailer,i.e was it mocked, did they cheer,Boo,Laugh etc,it's just a gauge how the trailer was received:)

just in case you guys didnt know, supermanhomepage is reporting that they are anticipating the trailer to be released on-line at the same time the satellite feed is released to the T.V. stations. tues, may 2....9:00...9:15 E.S.T.

Yeah, I'm a total rookie at the internet, dude ;)

It's unnecessary clutter. If the thread gets chaotic--it gets chaotic. You wait it out. If it bugs you that by the time you've posted, 15 other people have posted--then don't post. But starting essentially a duplicate thread that exists, as you put it, for people to post JUST for the sake of posting, about people's percieved reactions in a theater no one else was in? Pointless.

There's no real reason to make a separate thread. There's no reason why that "Oh, and the crowd laughed too" can't just go in YOUR reaction post.

And trust me--there is NO WAY the Batman suit and trailer release at all compares to the insanity surrounding the Episode I, II, or III trailer releases, and I was RUNNING Star Wars messageboards at the time. I know what messageboards are like when those things get released to the fanboys--and I know that threads like the one you're proposing are essentially just waste.

And Game gets 5 points :)

ya sorry solid,i didnt put tuesday in at first,so i went back and fixed it,my bad dude.

Whatever, they have always been done here and haven't been any problem with C Lee or the other mods,it's just a way of finding out if the general buzz was good or bad
If you've ran a board then you know that every time a trailer drops sections from it get threads of their own

Haha, it's cool dude. I went Adlai Stevenson for a second.

No, they don't. And the mods here aren't a good example of how things get run efficiently. And that's not even their fault--I've talked to C.Lee and a couple other mods--and they're handcuffed here. The Administration here has some pretty goofy ideas about how to manage about 10,000 fanboys daily.

It's a stupid idea, nevertheless. You still can't tell me why it's a good one other than "It's always been done and I'm afraid no one will ever read my post."

You can find out if the general buzz was good or bad by reading a regular thread, it's not like the separate "my percieved opinion of a percieved crowd reaction" thread is going to be any more accurate. If anything, it's going to lead to inaccuracy and extra blah-blah because it's people arguing about opinions that aren't even theirs.

But reading the threads doesn't seem to be your worry. Hell, half the time you don't even have to POST. someone will invariably type something that you wanted to say anyway. Just reading is fine sometimes.
