The problem is that the Bond movie franchise has totally distanced itself from the books. From the casting of Connery, Bond in the movies would never be the Bond in the books, no matter how much a given producer or actor says they're going back Fleming's Bond. Let's face facts. Most of the general audience know Bond from the movies. They are familiar with his way of speaking, his manner of dress, and how he handles himself in any given situation from all the people who've played him on the silver screen. So of course people are going to have a problem with a Bond who is more like the Fleming Bond. Sad to say but the Bond in the books isn't the image of Bond that is conjured up in a large part of the general audiences eyes.bosef982 said:I know we're going off topic, but I don't care. See, what I don't understand is that, yes, hair color off, but aside from that, Craig does actually physically resememble Fleming's Bond, who was not attractive to speak, but rather cruellooking, rough, and intimidating. The tuxedo was an invention of the movies, not the novels (of which I'm an enormous fan). I don't think the Bond of Ian Fleming's novels would have felt comfortable in a Tuxedo, and I think the dynamic between Craig and his tuxedo, the tension there, is purposeful, not unintentional.

it is odd to you that they could realese teh trailer tommorow?Showtime029 said:It just seems odd that they would release it tomorrow when they have a chance to premiere it with Smallville first and then put it online.

but it isnt odd to you that they gave people the cordinates for tommorow?
someone can tommorow record teh trailer and realese it in bad quality.
It's not the same satellite that you would use for DirectTV or DishNetwork. These feeds are usually picked up by the large dishes you see in different places. They allow you to set in specific coordinates so that you DO get the actual feed that is sent to TV stations. I've a friend who has that system and tunes it in to news stations. It's amazing because sometimes the feeds will still keep going and you see what happens while people are on a commercial break.Showtime029 said:Well, I know what sattelite television is, but I wasn't aware that you could program coordinates in.
Weirdness. I have cable so I dont mess with the dishes.
you put the cordinates and the satelite will change hes direction. this kind of satelites are very cheap now. so a lot of pepple has them. so i wouldnt be suprised if someone would record it. and even if noeone will i think that htere will a tv station who will air the trailer on the TV legal or ilegal. after all they will be teh first. so i think that it is only logical to realese the trailer online.skruloos said:It's not the same satellite that you would use for DirectTV or DishNetwork. Here's a secret for you...................Mirko tells the mods very very very little more than he tells you guys. We generally find out about things like that when we log on and find 25 redundant threads on the same subject....we get no warning.bosef982 said:Well, I know sometimes you guys sometimes contact studios or reps to find out what's going on and if you can get confirmation about things?
