Superman: TAS

i am not much of a superman fan...
i bought all the batman tas dvds (what a great show!)
then i bought justice league season 1 & 2. which surprisedly to me, i actually enjoy more than batman. and low and behold superman i am kind of starting to like.

question:
i am thinking of picking up the superman tas dvds. how many batman crossover episodes are there? as i understand this is during the "new adeventures of batman and superman"...
if there are many it may be worth the buy...

There's only one. The Joker gets his hands on the largest known chunk of Kryptonite in the world and offers to sell it to Lex. But besides that, the series was really good on it's own.

A episode titled Knight Time. This is where Bruce dissapears and Superman comes to help out by dressing up as Batman for a while til Bruce is found. It's funny as hell too when Bane & the other villians are surprised by the "new" Batman


Not much action from Bats', but it's a great episode


Then there's episode 52 titled The Demon Reborn. Bats & Supes' team up against Ra's Al Ghul.

My favorite is Knight Time. I love seeing Superman trying to imitate Batman in front of commissioner Gordon and not really knowing what to do. Also seeing some of the villians react to how strong "Batman" has become, lol.

And the one with the joker is actually 3 episodes long so thats even better.

Yeah, when robin is whispering to supes (dressed as bats) telling him how to behave, it's wicked. Then Supes fights Bane, which is funny. And then the mad hatter tries to run away, but every corner he takes, bats is standing in front of him... I love that.

daemon reborn was wicked too.

But the movie was my all time favorite. The conflict b/w Supes and Bats at the beginning was great. Superman 'you peaked' using his xray vision. Bats is unhappy. Later that night, supes realizes he has a tracking device cleverly planted on him, and batman is across the street waving to Clark Kent. Great scene.

But the thing I loved the most, was that Bruce was dating Lois at the same time. It was Superman vs. Batman on all levels. Clark vs. Bruce, Supes vs. Bats. Then Supes and Bats vs. Luthor and Joker (and a bunch of robots thanks to lex).

My favorite line in the whole movie 'You're learning" says Bats to Supes

Yeah, I never understood why they made Superman so dumb, for a lack of a better word, in TAS. He always just stood still while someone was trying to hurt him or something thinking that nothing that person could do would hurt him, yet it almost always seemed to hurt (or stun) him. An example: In Worlds finest, when he meets the joker in his lead suit, the Joker sprays acid on him yet he could have easily super-sped out of the way. But I guess if he did that, he would always kick butt, and he would not have any obstacles to overcome. He just never seemed to use his super-speed all that much. Oh well. Just something that irritated me.

yeah there's that, but he doesn't understand the joker... probably never met him before, or dealt with him before. That's why bats was there
