Here's a fun idea for a thread. Last night I was watching S:TAS and I noticed a clear reference to SII. I think it was the episode "Target;" in it, Superman saves Lois from an Elevator that's gone out of wack and when he pulls her out he says "I believe this is your floor." So, what other cartoon-movie, movie-movie, etc references did u ever notice?

If by that you mean references to the movies in other media, there've been plenty. A few examples:

* Jor-El and Lara appeared on "Superboy" looking just as they did in the first movie (not the same actors, but the costume design and hair are the same).
* I believe S:TAS' "Blast From The Past, Part II" had some acknowledgements to Superman II (including the obligatory 'Superman is incapacitated while the Phantom Zone escapees briefly take over the world' premise), but I haven't seen the ep in quite a while.
* "Smallville" has had guest appearances by several stars of the original films (including Reeve himself before he died), and the Fortress seems to be inspired somewhat by the John Barry design.
* "Superman: Doomsday" had several references, including a crystal-powered (but not crystal itself) Fortress and a widowed Ma Kent.
* And go pick up any issue of Action Comics from the last several months. Frank's been drawing Clark/Superman and Lois to resemble Reeve and Kidder, the Fortress is crystalline (but laced with computer tech), and Donner himself helped bring Ursa and Non into continuity with "Last Son" a year ago.

A lot of non-Superman media that make reference to Superman also tend to lean toward the film version: one example I can think of is that many SNL skits about Superman specifically reference the first two movies; in the past decade, there was one with The Rock as Clark Kent doing a really poor job of disguising his dual identity from his co-workers (opening with footage of crowds walking past the Daily Planet culled directly out of the film), and another involved Hugh Jackman as Superman trying to have a typical family chat with the spirits of Jor-El (Will Ferrell) and Lara (Rachel Dratch) in the Fortress and the whole thing comes off awkward for all three of them.
