Switching to DC

anyone have any other recommendations besides Daredevil, Captain America, and Astonishing X-Men.
aside from the books I already mentioned, if you don't have an inherent problem with the Ultimate line, The Ultimates is never a disappointing titles.

Robert Kirkman is also starting up a new Ant-Man series soon. I personlaly have zero interest in Ant-Man, but Robert Kirkman I've found to be an incredible writer who never disappoints, so I'm excited for that. It should be worth looking into.

Kirkman's disappointed me several times and, while I do have an interest in Ant-Man, the concept for the new Ant-Man (shouldn't it be Ant-Men, anyway?) series sounds absolutely awful. I'll still get it because Kirkman's got more hits than misses, but I have a feeling Hank and the Ant-Man costume will end up getting locked away for another few years until someone comes up with another concept for it down the line.

It's getting canceled and then relaunched with a volume 2, just like Wonder Woman, the Flash, and JLA were. That still counts as canceled.
Is it getting relaunched? I thought they were gonna give it the Astonishing X-Men treatment and just keep the numbering the same with a hiatus.

Most of those 2099 books sucked.

most? pretty myuch all of it was a steaming pile of dung. the daredevil one seemed pretty neat, but it was a bit of a let down.

eh, yeah, but it was a 5th week event, have any of those EVER been good?

anyone here ever read Tales of the Realm?

I don't care for the Ultimate Marvel line, it presents good stories, but I hate the changes they made to the characters, plus the designs for them just plain suck.

Hmmm...I'll have to take a look into it.

wikipedia is a great way to get a general history and some basic understanding so you can start reading and still be able to understand whats going on currently while you go back and get old trades later...

The 2099 one-shots, and a couple of the MTU arcs have been a little lackluster, in my opinion. His hits still outnumber his misses for me, though, like I said.

Of the 2099 One-Shots I enjoyed the Dardevil one, and the Black Panther one. I thought the Inhumans sucked. The punisher was rather...blah. And that Mutant 2099, was boring. THough, I grew to apprtiate the character more due to the League of Losers arc in MTU. And of course, the Jubilee thing. But other than that, Kirkman has been great for me. Tech Jacket, Invincible, even a couple of Masters of the Universe issues I read by him were good. The man writes a mean Skeletor.

Speaking of switching to DC,I can't wait for the JLA relaunch.I've been loving Justice like a fat kid loves cake.I can't see myself reading their solo books, but JLA is something I can see myself diggin' every month.

damn, any one who reads ic #7 and still talks **** about dc is just ****ing crazy.

Good man, that`s a extremly good move.I would have to say you did it a bit late, you would have alot of catching up to do.It depends...do you want to start right now,or before Infinite Crisis...
