Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet details ArFA-sys’ four functionalities, more weapons, skills, and gadgets
Published 18 hours ago. 12 comments.
Customize your ArFA-sys to your liking.

Bandai Namco has released new information and screenshots of Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet further detailing the ArFA-sys android unit that will accompany the protagonist, and introducing more weapons, as well as some of the skills and gadgets players will have access to.
Get the details below.
? ArFA-sys
A humanoid android loaded onto the crashed “SBC Fluegel” space ship (different from the SBC Glocken space ship). The protagonist’s ArFA-sys is equipped with a particularly rare, “Type-X” artificial intelligence. It can think and take action on its own, and provide a variety of support.
Because an ArFA-sys cannot become stronger than its master, the ArFA-sys newbie protagonist is the master of is less than a newbie—it is a “piece of junk.” However, the ArFA-sys will transform beyond expectation depending on the growth of the protagonist. The ArFA-sys’ appearance and gender can be freely customized by the protagonist to their liking.
Also, in order to progress the story, there are quests where you cannot advance unless you take your ArFA-sys along. The protagonist and ArFA-sys will grow together while being forced to make “decisions.”
? The Four Functions of an ArFA-sys
You can talk to your ArFA-sys in your room, and depending on the progress of the story, you can make use of special functionalities.

Sword-Art-Online-Fatal-Bullet_2017_11-30-17_001.jpg
Money Management System
Your ArFA-sys will automatically receive the money you acquired in battle, and invest that money in order to increase it. You can also set what percent of money will be deposited and and at what rate of interest it will be invested. Aim to become rich!
—You can transfer your spending money to your ArFA-sys. What will they use the money for?

Sword-Art-Online-Fatal-Bullet_2017_11-30-17_002.jpg

AI Settings
You can set the actions your ArFA-sys takes in battle. Whether you want a warlike fighter or an ArFA-sys that prioritizes recovery, you can create an ArFA-sys AI all your own.
Sword-Art-Online-Fatal-Bullet_2017_11-30-17_004.jpg

Coordination
The player—the ArFA-sys’ master—can change the color of the ArFA-sys’ equipment. In addition to clothes, even accessories and weapons can be colored.

Emotion Settings
You can set the emotional expressions of your ArFA-sys. Your ArFA-sys will react with a wealth of emotions, such as when you meet a friend, during battle, and when you clear a quest.
—You can choose from “Simple Settings” and “Detailed Settings” when setting emotions.

? Weapons Overview
Sub Machine Gun
Sword-Art-Online-Fatal-Bullet_2017_11-30-17_008.jpg

Recommended range: short and middle distance.
The lightweight and easy to handle sub machine gun. It is powerful and can load up a lot of ammunition. It is a good weapon that is overall balanced. Scatter bullets to shower enemies in a merciless attack.

Gatling Gun

Sword-Art-Online-Fatal-Bullet_2017_11-30-17_011.jpg

Recommended range: middle and long distance.
Since the Gatling gun is a heavyweight-class weapon, caution is required as your weight will be over carrying capacity when it is equipped. It can launch a concentrated attack on enemies with rapid-fire speed from middle and long distances.

Grenade Launcher

Sword-Art-Online-Fatal-Bullet_2017_11-30-17_014.jpg

Recommended range: middle and long distance.
Since grenades are thrown with a curve, you can attack from long distances while utilizing cover. And since the grenade generates a blast attack to its surroundings upon impact, it is effective on big enemies and dense fields.

? Gadgets Overview
? What are gadgets?
There are palettes to use gadgets on the screen, and up to four can be set to take into battle. Gadgets are not just limited to grenades and land mines—they cover all grounds, including throwing knives and recovery kits. More powerful gadgets require higher stat values for DEX and such.

Frag Grenade
Throws “a grenade that explodes in about three seconds after throwing” in a parabolic orbit. It is extremely effective against humanoid enemies and enemy players, and is also a good countermeasure against the harder parts of monsters.
Sword-Art-Online-Fatal-Bullet_2017_11-30-17_026.jpg
Smoke Grenade
Throws “a smoke grenade that generates a smoke field that obstructs the field of vision three seconds after throwing” in a parabolic orbit. While it does not have power to deal damage, it is useful in many circumstances, such as to evade enemy attacks, to distract the enemy, or to send a signal.

Emergency Care Kit
Increases HP recovery power for a fixed period of time. Unlike skill recovery bullets, it does not recover HP all at once, but rather gradually within the effect period.

Players will get to create their own characters to be the protagonist of Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet, but the game will also have its own “Kirito Mode” for those of you who prefer to play as the SAO main character. [Thanks, Ryokutya2089.]

Kirito Mode is basically a mode where you play as Kirito. It becomes available after clearing the scenario, and you’ll get to switch between regular mode and Kirito mode at any time.

Death Gun’s voice talent has been revealed as Soichiro Hoshi, who voiced the character in the anime. Bandai Namco also revealed a new “ClothingQuests” where Asuna is a tailor.

Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet releases in Japan on February 8, 2018 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. A PC version releases alongside the Western release on February 24, 2018.

SAO-FB-Screens_12-14-17.jpg

Bandai Namco has released a new set of Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet screenshots revealing a new “Kirito Mode,” “Asuna’s Outfitters Quests,” and more for the upcoming third-person shooter action RPG.
In Kirito Mode, players assume the role of Kazuto Kirigaya—better known as Kirito—as he battles against the infamous Death Gun in the Bullet of Bullets tournament. Players will also be able to explore the Remnant Wasteland of “Gun Gale Online” and use weapons such as the hand gun, sniper rifle, and sword for both close range and long distance combat.

Asuna’s Outfitters Quests enable players to have custom costumes not sold in the shop created by Asuna. This can be done by collecting costume recipes as rewards and handing over the necessary materials to Asuna.

Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet details original characters, Kirito Mode, Asuna’s Clothes Quests, more
Published 15 hours ago. 42 comments.

Character profiles for Kureha, Zeliskam, and Itsuki.

Bandai Namco has released new information on Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet detailing original characters Kureha, Zeliskam, and Itsuki, the recently announced Kirito Mode and Asuna’s Clothes Quests, and more.
Get the details below.
? Original Characters
Kureha (voiced by Ayane Sakura)

Sword-Art-Online-Fatal-Bullet_2017_12-21-17_001.jpg

The protagonist’s childhood friend, and a cheerful and lively girl. Since she considers the protagonist to be like a younger brother / sister, she can be a bit meddlesome.
Her gameplay style is offensive tank, and she specializes in fighting at middle distance. Given her natural cheerfulness, caring personality, and connection to the protagonist as a childhood friend, she often acts like a senior player towards the protagonist, who is a beginner in the world of virtual reality MMOs.
She has been a member of many squadrons, and knows the state of “Gun Gale Online” very well, whether its the famous players, changes in rankings, and so on.
She has a cheerful and lively personality, but is sometimes shy when asked about her goal to become a top player or her strength.
And the reason why she is so particular about her strength is—.

Sword-Art-Online-Fatal-Bullet_2017_12-21-17_002.jpg

Zeliskam (voiced by Mamiko Noto)

Sword-Art-Online-Fatal-Bullet_2017_12-21-17_003.jpg

A reliable and cute big sister-type who gives off a motherly and broad-minded aura. Contrary to her appearance, she is one of the top players of “Gun Gale Online” with a high level of player skill.

She has low VIT, so rather than fight on the front lines, she compensates for her lack of VIT by creating favorable conditions through the use of buffs and gadgets. While she is not assertive when it comes to clearing stages and going up in the rankings, her top-level game skills have earned her the nickname, “Uncrowned Queen.”

Like the protagonist, Zeliskam possesses an ArFA-sys “Type-X,” who she named “Daisy” and cherishes. At first, she sees the protagonist as an inexperienced player who simply got lucky, but as the protagonist grows, she will come to recognize their ability.

In “Gun Gale Online,” she intentionally keeps other players at a distance in order not to stand out, but that seems to have something to do with her real-life self—.

Itsuki (voiced by Tatsuhisa Suzuki)

Sword-Art-Online-Fatal-Bullet_2017_12-21-17_005.jpg

Given his status as a top player with a handsome avatar, he is gaining popularity from a few of the female players in “Gun Gale Online.”

His gameplay style is a rear guard-type that uses a sniper rifle and prefers to fight at middle and long distances. However, traps (land mines) are his go-to, and everything he does is a strategy to use them.

He is the leader of the famous squadron, “Alphard,” and every member of the squadron admires Itsuki almost as they worship him.

He is captivated by the fact that the protagonist obtained an ArFA-sys Type-X and the strong decision-making they occasionally display, and runs into them at every opportunity.

During a conversation, Itsuki, who deems the protagonist as “interesting,” proposes joining their party, but—.

? Kirito Mode

As you progress through the story, you will unlock “Kirito Mode,” where the playable character changes from the protagonist to Kirito. In Kirito Mode, you can enjoy a story different from the main scenario that depicts a battle with Death Gun. By reaching a certain part of the scenario, you will be able to switch between Kirito Mode and “Regular Scenario Mode” at any time.

—Take part in the Bullet of Bullets and chase after Death Gun!

Sword-Art-Online-Fatal-Bullet_2017_12-21-17_009.jpg

In Kirito Mode, Kirito can use the Ultimate Fiber Gun (UFG). Using the UFG, a battle to the death against Death Gun will unfold.
—The UFG is given to Kirito from the protagonist.

—Kirito uses the UFG.
? Asuna’s Clothes Quests
By giving Asuna materials, she can create new costumes. The list of costumes you can create also consists of special costumes that cannot be purchased at shops. “Costume Recipes” are required to create costumes, which can be obtained through means such as rewards for clearing quests.
—Give your materials to Asuna, who can create costumes for the protagonist, male or female, and their ArFA-sys, male or female.
—You can even have a Death Gun-like costume created.
Sword-Art-Online-Fatal-Bullet_2017_12-21-17_013.jpg

? Area Overview
The “Remnant Wasteland” is an area where enemies lurking ruined buildings and bounty players aim to kill other players from the shadows. It is the first area players will head down to after obtaining an ArFA-sys.

Although it is the game’s opening area, the Remnant Wasteland is not to be taken lightly. Make sure your equipment, skills, and gadgets are properly prepared, and work together with your party members to move forward.
—A bounty player! Don’t let him get the better of you!

—If you are only focused on the front lines, you may get sniped from a distance.
—A powerful Named Enemy. Whether or not you challenge it is up to you.
? Weapons Overview
Handgun
Sword-Art-Online-Fatal-Bullet_2017_12-21-17_018.jpg

Recommended range: middle distance.
A gun with standard power, range, rapid-fire speed, and so on. It is the first gun the protagonist equips, and the first weapon he / she becomes familiar with.
—Mid-Fire

—Optics
Sniper Rifle
Recommended range: long distance.
The sniper rifle has extremely long range and high power. Since it can only load a few bullets at a time and cannot fire at rapid speed, it is difficult to demonstrate its true value unless distanced from the enemy.
—Mid-Fire
Sword-Art-Online-Fatal-Bullet_2017_12-21-17_021.jpg

—Optics

Sword
Sword-Art-Online-Fatal-Bullet_2017_12-21-17_023.jpg

Recommended range: short distance.
The sword has a short range, meaning you can only hit the enemy by approaching them. However, by fighting while making skillful use of the UFG, the sword’s close range blow can deal tremendous damage.

Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet is due out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on February 8 in Japan, and February 23 in the Americas and Europe.

SAO-Fatal-Bullet-Co-Sleeping_12-26-17.jpg

Like previous Sword Art Online games, Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet will have co-sleeping events, the latest issue of Dengeki PlayStation reveals.

Currently confirmed characters possible to engage in co-sleeping with include Asuna, Sinon, and three others. It seems that co-sleeping characters differ for the main story and Kirito Mode.

The following is only speculation on our source’s part, but it may be that Kirito can only engage in co-sleeping with heroines from the original work, while the player-created avatar can only engage in co-sleeping with characters created specifically for the game.

? Characters
Agil (voiced by Hiroki Yasumoto)

Sword-Art-Online-Fatal-Bullet_2018_01-11-18_005.jpg

A big, male player with a shaved head. He is one of the “Sword Art Online” players that survived the death game. In “Sword Art Online,” he engaged in the business of transactions between players, and would immediately enter business negotiations upon seeing a rare item.
In “Gun Gale Online,” he perfers to use heavy weapons, which counterbalance with his own large build. The shots from his Gatling gun scatter crowds of small fry, and turn large enemies into honeycombs.

Klein (voiced by Hiroaki Hirata)

Sword-Art-Online-Fatal-Bullet_2018_01-11-18_006.jpg

A core gamer who befriended Kirito when “Sword Art Online” first began. He is absurdly weak when it comes to beautiful women, and a Bushido spirit that is pleased to be relied upon. He is looking for a girlfriend to call his own.
In “Gun Gale Online,” he uses a rifle, and his Japanese style-loving heart seems to be alive and well.

Premiere (voiced by Yuiko Tatsumi)

Sword-Art-Online-Fatal-Bullet_2018_01-11-18_007.jpg

A girl who appeared in Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization. She develops an admiration for Kirito following a certain occasion. Since she sticks by Kirito, she logs into “Gun Gale Online” as an ordinary player.
In “Gun Gale Online,” she wields two hand guns as weapons.

? Agil’s Appraisal Shop
Some the items that drop during battle will be “unidentified items.” Unidentified items cannot be used as is, but by bringing them to Agil and paying a fee, to receive his appraisal, you can get an item with special effects.
—Hand over your unidentified items to Agil.

Sword-Art-Online-Fatal-Bullet_2018_01-11-18_008.jpg

—The higher the price of an appraisal, the higher the chance of it being a rare item.

? Area Introduction
“The Sand-Covered Island,” where giant worms, flying robots, and ghost-like enemies that gather in the ship graveyard appear. This area will test the strength of players who honed their skills in the “Remnant Wasteland.”

Since you will encounter powerful Named enemies and countless worms if you charge in recklessly, you should proceed with caution. Also, you should always be mindful of your remaining ammo and party members’ HP. And be sure to watch out for attacks from underground and snipers from above.

—Giant worms lie in wait to jump out at the player.

—Giant flying robots that can deal severe damage will take aim at the player from above.

Yui (voiced by Kanae Itou)

Sword-Art-Online-Fatal-Bullet_2018_01-19-18_010.jpg

A pure-hearted girl trusted by all. Since she was taken into the care of Kirito and Asuna during the “Sword Art Online” era, she has embraced the two as her parents. She is the mascot-like presence of Kirito’s group, and is loved by all.

Rain (voiced by Miyu Takagi)

Sword-Art-Online-Fatal-Bullet_2018_01-19-18_012.jpg

The only other known player besides Kirito in “ALfheim Online” with the ability to dual wield. She is also playing “Gun Gale Online,” but since she is busy in real life, her login rate has decreased.

She can wield two sub machine guns and overwhelm enemies with many shots.
Sword-Art-Online-Fatal-Bullet_2018_01-19-18_013.jpg

Philia (voiced by Yui Ishikawa)

Sword-Art-Online-Fatal-Bullet_2018_01-19-18_014.jpg

Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet Lets You Take Half Of Kirito’s Heroines For Yourself. January 25, 2018 . 8:30am

Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet has Pillow Talk events, like other games in the series, but this time Kirito isn’t the only main character around.

Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet has Pillow Talk events, like other games in the series, where raising affinity with characters will allow the player to engage in an intimate conversation while sleeping on a bed together. However, Kirito isn’t the only main character around. [Thanks, Ryokutya2089]

Playing through ‘Main Story Mode’ and ‘Kirito Mode’ will let you engage in Pillow Talk events with different characters. The list of characters available in each mode were recently revealed:
Main Story Mode: Kureha, Zeliska, Strea, Philia, Rain, Premiere, Itsuki
Kirito Mode: Asuna, Leafa, Sinon, Lisbeth, Silica, Yuuki, Argo

It seems that Kirito’s choices are based on the characters who originate from the novel series, while the avatar character can choose to have Pillow Talks with game-verse characters. Itsuki is also the only male character available, and can engage in Pillow Talk with the main character.

Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet releases in Japan on February 8, 2018 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. A PC version releases alongside the Western release on February 24, 2018.

Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet details Bazalt Joe, Gun and Sword, and online multiplayer
Published 22 hours ago. 28 comments.

?eater's Player Authority early access began February 1 in Japan.

Bandai Namco has released new Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet information and screenshots introducing new character Bazalt Joe, the Gun and Sword equipment, and an overview of online multiplayer.

Get the details below.
? Story Recap
You are the protagonist, who logs in to a virtual reality MMO for the first time after being invited by his childhood friend and heroine Kureha. That VRMMO is “Gun Gale Online,” a world of guns and steel. The protagonist, who unexpectedly comes into possession of an ArFA-sys (a valuable support AI that are few in number), catches the eyes of other players in “Gun Gale Online,” even though he is a newbie.
Also, there is another heroine named Zeliskam who came into possession of the same type of ArFA-sys. In order to clear the newly unlocked space ship area “SBC Fluegel,” the protagonist will travel across the vast world of “Gun Gale Online” alongside Kirito and company.

—From here on, this story is shaped by your decisions.

? Kirito Mode Review
As you progress through the story, you will unlock “Kirito Mode,” which enables you to switch the playable character from the protagonist to Kirito. In Kirito Mode, you will be able to enjoy a different story from the main scenario depicting a battle against Death Gun. Be sure to check out the Kirito Mode-exclusive “Co-Sleeping” scenes, too!

? New Character
Bazalt Joe (voiced by Rikiya Koyama)

A “Gun Gale Online” top rank player who takes a liking to the protagonist’s ArFa-sys and challenges him to a match many times over. Joe is very helpful, courageous, and popular among the members of his squadron. When it comes to a match, he is considerably persistent until he wins, but always shows good sportsmanship regardless of the results.

? Customization Patterns
You can customize your avatar character from a wide selection of parts, including gender, such as figure, face, hairdo, voice, and more.

? Gun and Sword
The dual wielding of a gun and Kagemitsu (light sword), which Kirito was able to equip in the “Phantom Bullet” arc of the Sword Art Online anime, will appear in Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet as the “Gun and Sword.” The Gun and Sword is unlocked when players clear a certain event with Kirito.
The Gun and Sword is a superior weapon type suited for any situation, be it close range or long distance. The Gun and Sword will also have exclusive skills.

? An Overview of Online
Heated Online Battles and Co-Op
Get accustomed to battles so you can jump into online battles and co-op. You will be able to enjoy intense battles unique to this game, including powerful boss battles that one player alone cannot defeat, and four-versus-four team matches.

In online co-op, you can obtain rare items as a reward for clearing the objective. The items you obtain can be used to strengthen weapons at Lisbeth’s Workshop or create costumes for Asuna’s Costume Quests to further strengthen your avatar character.

Additionally, there are also time attack quests in online co-op where you compete to defeat enemies the fastest. Master your skills, strengthen your avatar character, and slice your way to the top of the time attack rankings!

Sword-Art-Online-Fatal-Bullet_2018_02-02-18_020.jpg
*In the co-op lobby, you can use emotion commands such as waving and nodding, as well as voice chat, to communicate with other players.

*You can also show off your custom avatar character and ArFA-sys.

Online Battles
A grand free-for-all battle where players are divided into two teams: Alpha Team and Bravo Team. Players will have to predict not only the movements of the players on the opposing team, but also the movements of the target enemies. It’s a three-way battle where players will have to deal with a difficult, boss-class enemy, as well as attacks from the opposing team.

Online Co-Op
Combining players and ARfa-sys, up to eight characters (four players) can play together in online cooperative battles. Since powerful enemies will appear in each mission, the use of buff-type skills such as ally stat increases and HP recovery, as well as enemy stat debuff-type skills is required. Decide upon your roles, then head into battle.
