Whoever wrote it seems to suffer from Dissociative Personality Disorder.I don't think whoever wrote it was serious.![]()
Guitar Hero will not fulfil it's potential until they can finally get some LED ZEPPELIN licensed.
"Oh my gawd, I'm living the DreEEem! I feel like I'm IN The Pretenders!!!.....Now I'm Jammin' with the ALLMAN BROTHERS!"
lol

I'm sorry.
I just hate death and black metal.
Now if we're talking 80's metal, then I'm a fan.![]()
Well, wait, so I'm looking on Wiki, and I see this called "nu-metal".
It lists bands that I like in that category like:
- Linkin Park
- Blindside
- Korn
....does it count as metal or just alternative?

What kind of 80s metal? The glam stuff that "claimed" to be metal? The thrash scene? Napalm Death creating grindcore? The real underground doom scene that started up? The New Wave of British Heavy Metal? The power metal stuff that started up? The Florida Death Metal scene? The handful of bands that started black metal? Now if we're talking 80's metal, then I'm a fan.![]()

And yet, SOAD isn't in the Encyclopaedia Metallum
Yes, they count as 'metal' as there are so many sub-genres in Metal. Nu-Metal was born out of the collaboration between Anthrax (definitely Metal) and Public Enemy who brought us the ever-so-awesome (imo, at least) BRING THE NOISE. That song brought Metal to a whole new level. Not a big fan of rap but Metal + Rap =Well, wait, so I'm looking on Wiki, and I see this called "nu-metal".

I always thought they were okay, then I saw them live. They stunk it up.
You mean Glam Rock? Hehe! Now if we're talking 80's metal, then I'm a fan.![]()
And yet many Metal publications I've read consider them to be.that's because they're not metal.
I like the pics in Metal Edge mags. They have some lovely (by "lovely" I mean bad ugly) pics of the bands I like.Bella reads "Metal Publications"![]()
I think Korn qualifies but the others I don't think they count.
Agreed.
SOAD isn't metal.

Speaking of sub-genres. I'm not a fan of Death Metal at all. That's just TOO much noise. That said, I think the drumming in that genre is pretty gnarly. I can definitely see Animal drumming for a Death Metal band.
You mean Glam Rock? Hehe!
I can forgive Metal for Glam Rock, for Power Ballads, for going acoustic (Yay to Tesla's Five Men Acoustical Jam)... but not for KISS' Disco attempt with I Was Made For Lovin' You. WTF?!Don't like their I Wanna Rock and Roll All Night either.
:
Dude they have a lot of crap but tell me you at least like Shout At the Devil and Looks That Kill! Not Motley Crue

Those two are Rock.

No, stuff like Slayer, Black Sabbath, Alice In Chains, Metallica, Guns N' Roses, Led Zeppelin, Scorpions, Anthrax, Megadeth, etc.
Exactly. You know your Metal. Is 13 the actual number though? I didn't even bother to count. Then what the hell is it?
It is metal, but there is like 13 different types of metal.
Too many damn sub-genres.
Once in a blue moon, when something hits me in the head (actually... that happens more often than "once in a blue moon" but anyway...), I would actually listen to a whole Death metal track.I love that song.
I really like Public Enemy and Anthrax.
...and I agree, Death metal sucks.
No, I mean bands like Slayer, Black Sabbath, Alice In Chains, Metallica, Guns N' Roses, Led Zeppelin, Scorpions, Anthrax, Megadeth, etc. (Even though some of these are from 70's)
Not Motley Crue, Cinderella, and all that shyit.Once again, I like the bands you've listed. And Motley Crue isn't that bad. Don't like Cinderella though. Even their name doesn't sound 'rock' or 'metal'.:
Of course.
Those are some good ass songs. Sadly, those and maybe/sometimes Dr. Feelgood are the only songs that I like from them.
