Taco Bell to add fries to its menu

Well yes but OTOH I saw a story a few months back about someone attacking an employee at Taco Bell when they could not get French Fries.

I have some of those Taco bell/KFC combo places in my area so could always get a side of potato wedges with my tacos... but, not actual fries

wonder if it'll be just plan fries?... or like mexican style street fries? or like mexican style toppings on loaded fries ?

"That's not how taco bell works!"

I saw a Taco Bell in Glasgow yesterday.

All I've ever heard is they're awful. Why is it now in Scotland?

I like taco bell but you need to set your expectations accordingly and know what to order. Its cheap quick americanized quasi mexican food. I usually get a chicken quesadilla and nachos.

I worked at taco bell for 2 years and had to eat it 5 days a week so I grew immune to taco bell's colon destroying dark magic. Its like snake venom. Expose yourself to a little bit often and you get an immunity to it.

Because tacos always makes one hanker for fries? :( But I do agree wedges would be better.....

Besides taco bell already has deep fried potato pieces.

The only Taco Bell near me is joined with a KFC so fries were always an option.

Mine doesn't ( or at least I've never seen them... )

You can get them in a cup as a side:

And they have some types of burritos that have potatoes in them:

Unrelated note, did y'all know that that taco bell's cinnamon twists are deep fried noodles? Fusilli noodles to be specific. Blew my mind when I first had to make them.

Okay, I may have seen those. They look more like tots so they weren't in my mind as fries. :) I'd still rather have wedges.

I guess they're trying to compete with Del Taco? I know Del Taco is more of a West Coast US thing (they do cheap "mexican" food plus burgers/fries), which gives TB the advantage because they're more widespread.

There are only a small number of Taco Bell's left in the UK and most of them are in Northern England.

Wahaca seems to be the dominant Mexican style food franchise in the UK. They have outlets all over the place.

This is madness!!!!

Well, I've been to Oaxaca, but I had never heard of "Wahaca", so I looked them up online.

Their food looks fresh, delicious, and every bit as authentic as the ground beef "haggis" we had at the Renaissance Festival.

this is a good look. Del taco already has fries. Make sure to have large fries available. Taco Bell should have catsup packets as a topping from now on.

Those who think fries don't go with mexican food have no idea.

Don't know what Taco Bell will be serving, but baked Mexican Street Fries style are delicious!
And go great with Mexican /tex-mex food.
Favorite is spiced with salt, pepper, garlic powder, ground cumin and chipotle pepper.
Or stuffed into a good carne asada burrito, or breakfast Burritos is delicious!
