Christopher Eccleston was an underrated Doctor Who, and gets wasted in thankless movie roles (Malekith, anyone?)
Lee Pace. I've seen plenty of movie and Tv shows performances of his and I'm surprised he isn't an established leading man yet. He is fantastic in Halt and Catch Fire. Hollywood is thirsty for white american leading men so it is strange he is over looked.

by far the most underrated actor in Hollywood - Patrick Wilson
Matthew Goode. People give him a lot of sh** because he was miscast in Watchmen, but he's actually a really talented actor.
I didn't even think he was bad in Watchmen.
As for male actors, I've always thought of William Fichtner as one of the quintessential examples of lesser-known underappreciated actors.
Michael Jai White. I've always liked him, he's always been a fun actor and incredible, martial artist. I feel like in the right CBM role he would shine. Like maybe in a villain role.

Off topic, but saw him before. He seems cool and down to Earth. He's from my home town, Buffalo, and saw him in the biggest mall there which was surreal since it's the last place one would expect to see anyone. Very cool.
Titus Welliver. He's great in everything. I've yet to see his Bosch show on Amazon, but it was good to see that he finally landed a lead role in something.
Personally I would've preferred him as Commissioner Gordon in Justice League over JK Simmons. Not that I'm complaining with Simmons, but Welliver has a bit more gravitas IMO, which works better with Gordon.Same. For me he was one of better casting choices in the movie.I didn't even think he was bad in Watchmen.
