Some of us may remember the film that came out in the 90s but I want something more, something greater!

If you are a fan of the comics and want to imagine how a new film could be done then lets discuss it here!

I think Hollywood could do with a fun wacky bad ass female action hero.

I am seeing it as a mix of Mad Max meets Deadpool...with mutant Kangaroos.
It needs to be a hard R punk rock film.

If this thread dies then so be it but I would love to hear other folks ideas.

Margot Robbie would be a pretty great choice for Tank Girl.

I would actually go with another Aussie girl other than Margot, I think there's too much of a risk of her coming across like Harley Quinn again. I actually do think in that this character could be looked again today, especially in light of Deadpool.

Robbie looks damn near identical [facially] to that first drawing, so I could see why you went that direction
but yeah, her Harley was more similar to Tank Girl than the comics Harley, right down to the aesthetic... so they should find someone else

A few years ago I'd have loved Jaime Pressly:

Hell, who am I kidding, I'd love her to do it now
She's got the humor, the toughness, the looks, and the acting chops to pull it off well
I'm sure she's "too old" for Hollywood though

(although, looking at the photos, Robbie appears to just be a young, time-displaced Pressly anyway, lol)

Besides the Gotham City Sirens movie is being fast tracked by Warner Bros. Plus there is likely to be a Suicide Squad sequel, so I doubt Margot Robbie would be available anytime soon.

Well ahh....called it?

If Margot doesnt want to actually play Tank Girl then surely Samara Weaving is your next go to.

In terms of tone I still see Mad Max which is obvious but I would go more with Mad Max meets Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas meets Bill and Ted.

Psychedelic apocalypse....Psychelyptic?

Make the story simple...Tank Girl wakes up the day of her birthday hungover and a day away from getting her period when she gets a call informing her that Hunter S Thompson and Crocodile Dundee have been kidnapped by Time Traveling Mutant Kangaroos.

Tank Girl is late on rent and decides to go rescue them to collect the reward so she plans a road trip with her buddies and heads out facing the psychedelic post apocalyptic harsh Australian landscape and making new friends along the way.

Directed by Dean Parisot featuring music from the 80s, 90s and the apocalyptic future

I actually had a weird fascination with the Lori Petty movie as a kid, not seen it in decades though. Interested where they go with this new one but surprised Margot has gone for this when she has Harley.
