anyone interested in a director's cut of the two movies?

I Did not know about a lot of the TASM deleted scenes so that's interesting, but a few of them probably were not filmed

i believe a few of them were and even if it's just 2 or 4 small scenes it wouldn't make the movie any worse.

WOW just WOW. That is the first time I have seen that stuff about asm1. Man they delected like a whole movie lol. What where they thinking? I belive that asm2 is much better movie then asm1 and I think both movies would have been much improved with the delected sences but I think asm1 would have been improved more. The movie would have had much more action, charater delevement and would have been much more intease. I thought people where being crazy with the whole sony interfearing and with it not being webs falut but I know agree that it is not webs fault and more the people who have more control with sony.

Yeah I don't think so. This movie li da needs the help it gets and I was really disappointed by 2. With some scenes like these it would totally help the movies even mostly explaining g the things that happened in 2 and some alternate takes of 2.

I have always felt TASM could have been the perfect spider-man movie if a few things were more tighter, it's still the closest I'd say even if it didn't quite hit that mark

lol that's why we know now that a director's cut won't help. I bet that petition wouldn't be as big as it is if people knew from the beginning that's what they'd be getting.

I think they were expecting a Daredevil-esque complete re-imagination of the film. In that case, a huge part of the film was completely cut out (about a quarter of the film). Essentially the whole main plot of the film was jettisoned by Fox after completion against the director's wishes.

That type of complete overhaul is very rare. Most 'director's cuts' are just a few added scenes that the director probably cut for a reason.

Agreed. Daredevil is the best example of a director's cut turning a disappointing movie into a good movie. It's easy to understand why all those petition fans felt they might get that with TASM 2.

And I think some of the deleted scenes may even make the movie worse, i.e. Richard Parker being alive. Bleccch!

Putting some of those scenes back in TASM might bump my score up to a perfect 10.

TASM2 however, I feel like my issues with it can't be fixed with the described deleted scenes, though I still would've liked to see some of them incorporated.

TASM would've been on par with spiderman 2 and the avengers while TASM 2 would be compared to x-2 which teekay mentioned but I think it would've been on par with spidey 2. I believe with a directors cut all of the scenes in 2 would've helped connected the movie and with better execution including furthering some of the characters motivation and development even having Peter in character including respecting uncle ben

You keep saying that these fans that signed that petition think it would make it the TDK of the series, but plenty of them simply wanted to see some alternate scenes...

They weren't delusional when they signed it, it's still a really good push for a directors cut and something the fanbase can be pretty proud about as a whole

that's what. infact, the people who weren't even fans of the new trilogy or this movie wanted to see some director's cut of the two films.

Actually we kinda do need a directors cut to see the alternate scenes. And also we might get a directors cut for this movie in the near future

Check the comments, people have been commenting SINCE the deleted scenes were announced.

Honestly, its disengenious to try to discredit that petition, considering it has grown beyond it's orginal target 3 times now, and is still active. You can try all you want, but people clearly want this.
