Tattoo Suggestions????

I'm planning on getting a tattoo soon and since its gonna be on me forever I'm gonna need something nice. I wanted something that I love and I love comic books but I don't know exactly what it should be. So I've made this thread for anyone who has any suggestions to what I could have for a simple and possible tattoo.

Well I've been leaning a little in the direction of getting something about X-men like Wolvie or the X logo. But I also thought itd be pretty cool to have Cap's shield with R.I.P on it. But still not sure if its guite right.

True, but I'm just looking for suggestions and if I do come across one that I might want I'd probably have some adjustments done to it before it goes on.

I think you should get a barbwire armband with some chinese characters above it and a koi in the background

If you can't come up with a good idea for a tattoo that means something to you personally, don't get one. You've got it right that it's going to be around for quite some time, but just getting something "Nice" does not cut it. Check out the Tattoo thread in community and look at all of the different pictures and stories. The closer the subject is to the person who gets the tattoo, the better the tattoo turns out. For instance, Jag's jaguar tattoos. He could've gotten it done by just about anyone, but he spent a serious amount of time looking for an artist (something else you're really going to need to look into), and they came out awesome.

I don't have any so I know I would be pretty picky.
My brother is a tattoo artist and he is covered head to toe. He get's crazy tattoo's on a whim all the time, but I can't do that without a lot of thought.

What I like with this site is most of the design you can wear them for life. A lot of people want something really cool but then when they get older they regret it. Things like a dragon or skeletons or monsters are cool when your young but meaningless when you get older

I also agree that a tattoo should be something personal and meaningful to you, however if you are so attached to a certain character then getting their symbol/icon is just as meaningful. I have 4 tattoos, 2 of which I designed myself and 1 of which is the Superman emblem.

Personally, I don't think I would just pick any design from a book and say "give me that" if anything I'd at least try to tweak the design or come up with something of my own. I also don't think I'd get an actual character tattooed on my body because I sort of think that looks tacky -- but that's just me.

Think of the things you like and try to come up with something on your own. Even if it's not perfect the tattoo artist will help refine it for you.

Yep this is my first and I want something that has had a big impact on my life. Comics have changed my life so I wanted something about comics that I could have that would show people what they mean to me. I've thinking it would probably be something around Wolverine since he's my favorite and the one character that I can really relate to.
