The Dark Knight TDK Completed?

Yes I know IMDB isn't the be all and end all in terms of reliability, but if you go to TDKs page:

You'll notice the status has been updated to 'completed'

A couple of things lend credence to this. Nolan has shown a cut to studio execs and it's also been rated by the MPAA.

It's entirely possible. I know Nolan showed the first-cut to the execs and such like a month or so ago, and since then they've probably been tweaking it to satisfaction.

So I think that after a month or so of tweaking, they may well have ended up with the finished product.

The MPAA recently rated it earlier this week so they have seen a final copy of the footage. The music might not be done though. I remember reading somewhere that Zimmer and Howard were going to start working on it this month (May).

I'd define complete in terms of the final-cut. That said, there is still a bit of work to be done on the music front, but in terms of the actual footage being cropped to suit Nolan's vision, I assume that's all done.

I'm just waiting for a news header to break out issuing how some numb nut has lost all of the footage while fiddling with the time line. How cruel would that be, right?

But yeh I was thinking of complete as in terms of a final cut also.

this cast is loaded, so that will happen.

on a related note, good for Maroni having both henchmen and a mistress.

I can't imagine they would have finished Visual Effects postproduction yet. That stuff often goes right down to the wire.

Probably they're not finished yet, but the MOVIE itself (editing) - yes, that's why it has MPAA rating.

I don't think it's completed. I think they have a final cut, but they're still working on the music, sound design and visual effects.

The score/music is done, was done about a month ago actually. My thesis partner's friend was working on it with Hans; hell I almost got to talk to Hans on the phone.

As an aside, she told me today that her friend said he is working with John Williams next in about a month or so on Superman....I'll get confirmation on that next time she speaks to him.
