Ten Trends That Are Destroying Video Games

The problem I have with the WII is I have not seen one single game for it that catches my interest, certainly none that would cause me to buy another system. If I were to get another system it would likley be a 360. I don't consider myself a hardcore gamer, but the WII games are all way too "kiddy-fied" and family friendly for my taste. And is anyone else sick and tired of the Mario Bros. and all those other characters that Nintendo has been re-using ad-nauseum for so damn long? Can they not come up with something new?

Mario Galaxy was really one of the best games last year.

I don't get this phrase.
Alot of games like Gears Of War 2, Halflife, Grand Theft Auto 4, Halo, Call Of Duty really don't require that much of the player beyond possibly multiplayer. It's pretty basic stuff like reactionary twich and running basic checkpoints that a small child could probably learn to do. Being a big butch macho man cutting up monsters with a chainsaw or murdering prostitutes seems equally juvenile as a plumber jumping on a turtle imo.

I think he may be talking about the RPGs on the 360. That's the home of them sorta games at the mo IMO.

That's a kind of an odd statement, all those games you mentioned have much more "mature" content than most Wii titles. Not saying the Wii is poor or anything but it deff doesn't appeal to the Killzone or Gears of War crowd.

Rockstar is using the DS GTA game as a water tester for Mature games on the Nintendo platforms. If you want some mature R* games on Wii, buy Chinatown Wars.

Anyone ever wacked off to a female game character??

This is correct, RPG's are my primary interest. Button mashing twitch-fests, no matter the level of so-called "maturity" are not my cuppa tea. That's just my personal preference, of course.
