I remember on another board (chud I think) when this film was released, I was the only person even slightly optimistic about the movie, whereas everyone else had completely written it off. Then it came out to pretty decent reviews and box office, I was vindicated.

I personally loved the movie. I think the cast was fantastic (Stahl and Danes were pitch perfect for the characters... I would be upset if they didn't come back for the upcoming terminator tv series). I thought it had fantastic effects, script and direction.

The only real disappointment I had was that it wasn't set in the future war , but hopefully next time if there is one.

And the ending...ballsy, and haunting as hell. The only thing I missed was the classic theme tune used more but even that made it in. but the site of nukes hitting sent chills down my spine.

Am I the only one here who loves this flick?

I hope so. :woot:

I hated it. It looked like a TV movie version of the franchise, with Arnold guest starring. It was just a rehash of the better elements of the first two, but this time with an obvious uninspired and lower quality essence to it. And the humor...when Arnold puts on those....glasses...and says, "talk to the hand", I really wanted to put out a contract on the filmmakers' heads. Worst moment in history.

And it wasn't obvious what they were trying to do when they made the new Terminator a hot little ***** with a nice ass and rack. Oh noes!!1 RUN!! Teh hot terminatress is coming to git us!!! WHat evar shall we dO??!?/

Not to mention it goes against the first two terminator movies.

Hated it, nice pop corn movie, but it ****ed up from the other 2 films point of view.

It seems to get better with each viewing.

complete and utter s**t... god i hate this movie ... they so f**ked up the first 2 movies. Danes was the only good thing about this. Tx was crap, Arnold was crap (talk to the hand is such a s**t line). If only Cameron would come back.

It's not the worst film by any means, but what it lacks from is crappy continuity and without the original cast members it suffered more. A Terminator film isn't not a Terminator film without Cameron directing, without Hamilton, or Furlong.

In my opinion they should've adapted the novel story of Dyson's son Danny restarting Cyberdene and having the war still take place because of his son.

Might not be the worst movie ever, but it still sucked, and sucked the life out of what could have been one of the best trilogies ever.

i loved it...

the one thing i didnt like was the orangy look......i liked the blue look from T2 better.

oh and T3 wasnt the one to break continuity.... it was done before that by james camerons T2-3D

I just saw it the one time, at theaters. I remember having fun?

I saw the 2 disc set for 9 bucks, maybe I'll get it just to have the 3 films.

I have T2 and T3, i'm missing the first.....

I don't see why people utterly hate part 3....sure it's not AS good as part 2...but I didn't think it was terrible.

The only thing I didn't really like was...Talk to the hand. That's such a 90's phrase.... Maybe something like...I'm the Terminator *****!!.....uhm...maybe not

Yeah that phrase was kinda meh. But other than that i thought it was decent.

The movie sucked.
It's great eye candy, though.

I can semi-enjoy some of it if I don't watch it in a long time.

My opinion in a nutshell.

This was the newaspect of the film I was open to. However, it was also one of the weakest aspects of the film. The first reason was that They didn't even take the notion of a female terminator seriously. Kristianna Loken was miscast. (Natasha Henstridge would hav been my choice) and the TX's abilities were way over the top.

Not to mention it goes against the first two terminator movies.
Yeah, it did. I think I posted something about it sometime back. It's sad really.

Eh, it was okay. Nothing compared to the first 2, however. T2 could be my favorite movie ever, actually.

Lame movie. Shouldn't have been made.

Maybe Arnold will be back to do T4 if he is not re-elected as Governor of California.

The end of the movie sold it for me. Otherwise it was a little lightweight, but not too offensive.

I liked Kristanna Loken, but I wished they had done more to differentiate her look/powers from the T-1000. There was a T2 novel "Infiltrator" that I wish had been adapted instead, because I think that lead character-a cybernetic Infiltrator- fit Loken almost to a tee in appearance. I also thought Arnold was a little too human acting.

It wasn't bad, but it was disappointing compared to the first 2 movies.

As I said, without Cameron, Hamilton, or Furlong involved in Terminator 3 it was destined to be weaker than the previous movies.

I think they should've made Terminator 3 a prequel to the actual two films and have the saga be complete in that fashion.

I didn't see all of it, but what I did see of it was an utterly putrid mess. As LastSunrise1981 pointed out, without Hamilton, Furlong and especially Cameron, it's not a Terminator movie. It's basically Arnold trying to earn some fast cash.

It's funny, those who hate the movie because it goes against Cameron's movies (though not quite sure how....and since 1997 judgement day never happened it could have shifted things in the timeline anyway) but James Cameron has mentioned he really liked T3.
