Anybody that goes to see this on Imax, hook up your opinion of how much better or worse the flick was on this screen compared to the regular ones. Navy Pier is showing this, I may swing by there today or tomorrow to check it out. Anybody in the city that plans on going, keep me in the loop. :o

I may be going at 2:40 but seeing all the reviews i don't think i want to waste $20 on a movie i may not like.

It was way better of course. The Optimus forest fight, everything with Devastator and the final fight with the Fallen were all filmed with IMAX so they took up the entire screen. Also, there was a random shot of a jet taking off that was filmed in IMAX, not sure why. IMAX is almost always more worth it than a regular screening, if not for the visual quality, at least for the sound. The sound is always way more impressive in IMAX.

It was cool because before the movie the manager came in our screening and he asked the audience trivia and if you got the question right you got free stuff. The first question he asked was who played the voice of the original Megatron and my younger brother and I raised our hands at the same time and he called on him instead, and my brother didn't even know the answer so I had to whisper it to him, lol. He got a free Transformers shirt and a copy of the CD. It was pretty cool, definitely a good way to get us all pumped.

With a movie like this - where character development and growth is *****ing terrible - but the action scenes and CGI is earth shattering, it's an absolute must see in IMAX.

Cool theater owner!!!

I really enjoyed this movie!! Was it perfect...hell no but still highly enjoyable.

Can't wait to own this one on DVD. Lets just hope they release the IMAX version on DVD. They did not do that for the first movie that also had extended (deleted) scenes --- however those scenes were really nothing special. Those IMAX scenes (frankly all the fight/action scenes) were spectacular!!!

I thought the movie itself was a disaster, however, the IMAX photography was fantastic as it was with TDK.
The forest fight and those shots of the pyramids were sensational in IMAX.

Although I did think Michael Bay could have incorperated the IMAX photography with the 35 mm more effectively. For example, there are several times when a single shot of IMAX will be randomly thrown into a 35 mm sequence and kind is a distraction. Maybe because I was looking for it though.

i wasted money on this movie Bay needs to stop making movies it could have been good but he pissed all over it

Bay didn't write the script.

It's actually written by the duo who also wrote Star Trek. Star Trek is a fantastic movie, but from what I've heard ROTF just isn't as good (makes me wonder if I'd be disappointed in this movie also), and I think it probably has to do with the director.
