That 70's Show

Kitty, Red, and Kelso definitely had some of the best moments on the show, so it was good at least that the Foremans stuck around even after Eric left. Then again, where would the show have been without the basement? That'd be like if the Cheers bar closed down and they continued the show at a coffee shop down the street.

:funny: That's very true. The Basement is where most of the episodes start off, I think theirs a few that don't, but most do.

I think they appear in the basement in every episode though. I can't think of one where they don't.

I still remember watching the finale and they count down the final day of the 70's. Then I'm like "NOOOO" when I see the license plate says 1980. :csad:

i'm sorry, i tried watching what you posted, but i couldn't make it past 2 minutes. i just... buckled ::shudders:: :waa:

:dew:

I think I watched the first few episodes of That 80's Show, laughed ONE time, ONE time, and that's only because the main character from that show had a somewhat Eric Foreman moment.

Yeah looking at credits she was in it. And the Dennis reaction is everywhere on YouTube. Shame they couldn't have hired some good writers and you know waited until That 70s Show was over before they started That 80s Show.

This show was awesome, it's sad it died. And i have no idea how they tried those actors/scripts with That 80's show, that was crap. If anything i was hoping they would keep going with all the same major actors into the 80's. Dreaming though. I remember they did a couple of futuristic episodes that went into the 80's

Yeah, It would've been awesome to just go into the 80's with the original cast.

Their was an episode where an angel was showing what his life would be like if he never dated Donna, it does go into the 80's. Fez singing "I Ran"... :awesome:

I think a reunion is possible still. None of the actors are really doing that much which would prevent them from doing a reunion, as of now anyways.

Just saw the episode where Mother Foreman dies. Best episode.
Everyone was on character. No out of character, or over reacting or under. Their relationships were portrayed great.
We watched that episode in character design class at school, and talked about the show as an example of great characterization.

Also, Eric had a Kazar comic on his table with a few others I couldn't see.
Did the show have to find and buy old 70s comics?

^that 80's show was so bad
I think That 70s Show suffered from trying to cram 4 to 5 years worth of storyline & charcter development into it's one & only season instead of giving itself time to grow naturally.

I would imagine so, they tried to get everything that was from the 70's in the show. I love that episode. "Would it kill you to be nice?" :awesome:

If I recall correctly I remember seeing either Kelso or Eric holding a "The Thing" comic, and maybe a "Doctor Strange" But I can't remember any more than that.

Eric also had Spiderman sheets, dunno if that counts. :woot:

He also has a Spider-Man pillow. But it's actually the 90's Spider-Man cartoon series pillow. That was weird as hell.

They actually have to find these things featured, so I understand that something like Spider-Man sheets and pillow cases from the 70s might be really hard to find. So I can let that go.
I was a PA on a movie once and we had to go buy stuff like that.
I just think things like comics from the 70s might be hard to fake or find.

That episode was so good, Red was Stern without being mean and then showed he was also a caring father without looking weak. Kitty bottled up her emotions with cooking. Hyde was a friend to Eric while still being a trouble maker and stuff. It was all so good.

It happened. In season 6 you had the episode that ended with Eric showing Red Star Wars action figures just to test him & see if he could remember which characters were which (which he couldn't, while Eric was able to name every tool Red showed him) but if you look closely you'll see that they're not the late 70s era Star Wars toys but more recent Kenner versions.

I remember that episode. What a great one. Now that I think about it, they weren't the original Kenner figures.

Eric and I are alot alike. Although take the *****e at times to his girlfriend aspect out and I'm pretty much like him. One of the reasons I find that episode hilarious.

they shouldnt have made another season without eric and kelso

Which character did you guys think had the most character development by the end of the show ? I think Jackie had the most. She started out as shallow and *****y , but by the end of it she somewhat moved beyond all of that.

I'll agree with you on that. She started being less like that when she was with Hyde.

I think they ruined Hyde in S8. Hyde and Jackie should have stayed together. The whole marrying a stripper thing was lame.

It looked like Hyde had potential to develop but by S8 he ended up back to where he was in S1; it's also crazy to think that Jackie ended up with all of the main guys except Eric.

Yeah, that's what pissed me off so much. Hyde was probably my favorite character throughout the show, then they ruined him in S8.

They always hinted (jokingly) that Jackie would be with Fez eventually... I just can't believe they actually did that. And Fez getting all the ladies in S8 was just weird...

There were a lot of things wrong with season 8.

Eric having a nightmare of sleeping with Jackie would have been funny though.

[Dream sequence]
ERIC: "Yeah, that was the best night of my life." [camera pans over to reveal Jackie sleeping next to him]
JACKIE: "Thanks. You know you weren't too bad for a skinny guy." [Eric starts screaming like a girl then wakes up in the basement; Jackie happens to be passing by]
JACKIE: "Something wrong?" [Eric starts screaming again and runs away; Jackie rolls eyes]
