He'll probably call Hook one of those harmless kids movies that just has bad/stupid stuff in it.

ID is a guilty pleasure movie. It's a bad movie, but it's fun.

Because....that's the point?

He's the Nostalgia Critic. His whole shtick is looking at stuff from our childhood that we remember fondly and pointing out just how bad it actually is.

He's said more than a few times in interviews that he loves a good number of the movies he reviews. But even movies we love can be bad. And he also makes fun of movies that deserve it.

That's his gimmick. He points out every flaw and blows it out of proportion for the sake of making a joke. If you pay attention to the end of his videos where he sums up the entire film, there were a few that he liked overall.

He's called the Nostalgia Critic. Reviewing movies that are (usually) more than 10 years old is his theme. I'm not sure why he never reviews movies from the 70's and earlier, but I assume he only wants to cover his own childhood.

As long as he can find a movie or TV show within that 20 year period (and there's a ton), I think he'll be fine.

God, yeah. He ripped the Star Wars prequels a new a-hole. While you've got people like the Distressed Watcher complaining about how midichlorians ruined the magical feeling he used to get, Confused Matthew dissected the movies based on their flaws without nostalgia. I was so glad he pointed out why it didn't make sense for the Jedi to take the Clone Troopers, because I was starting to feel like I was the only person who was confused at the end of Attack of the Clones.

It's brought up in the Republic Commando novels, how some Jedi thought it was wrong. Hell, one of the main Jedis left & became a Mando because he was sick of how the clones were treated.

Meaning that once again, it was up to another writer to write Lucas' crap better than him. Just like Empire Strikes Back. Just like how Boba Fett is only a character in the novels (instead of just a suit with a single line, like in the movies).

Don't forget the Clone Wars cartoons Tartakovsky did (not counting the CG ones). In that series you actually believed that Anakin and Obi-wan were good friends rather than the contrived mess Lucas' portrayed.

The new girl (Lupa?) is pretty good. Todd in Shadows is good. Other than that I usually just watch Linkara, NC and NCChick and maybe Spoony, depending on what he is doing. Other random videos fall in from time to time.

I don't know if anyone here has been following Spoony's frothing hatred of Final Fantasy X, but part 2 is out.

At the very end he does just about the last thing that I would ever expect him to do. And it's awesome.

Has anyone been keeping up on Linkara's History of Power Rangers?

Its been a really good commentary as Linkara analyzes each season of Power Rangers and shows many people that there was more to Power Rangers than the villain of the week and some cheesiness.

I finished his Lost Galaxy review. I didn't watch that season, but good god! I was shocked by some of the stuff they did, especially what happened to the pink ranger.

Yeh, I've been watching the Power Rangers stuff and I'm sure I barely watched stuff past turbo but I remember a ton of the In Space and Lost Galaxy stuff. I'm wondering how much of the Light Speed I'll remember...

Well one of the things I remember about Lightspeed Rescue was the Titanium Ranger and the fact that all the rangers were based on rescue vehicles or something like that.

Yeah, the History of Power Rangers has been great so far; his In Space retrospect is my favorite. It's just too bad that the later seasons after Lost Galaxy will take a lot longer for Linkara to get done.
