That Guy With The Glasses

Apparently there's a new guy to the site called Rap Critic. I just saw his Black Eyed Peas review. If he keeps this up, he's got a new fan.

I listened to him in the last Transmission Awesome where they announced he was joining. He was even better than I expected.

NC's IT review was so hilarious. That movie looks so stupid, why would anyone like that besides Curry's hilarious performance?

He's funny, but, I don't know... I think I'm just getting a little weary of Nostalgia Critic/AVGN variants. Although, part of it just might be that his "set" is just a blank wall, and that kind of drains the energy out of his routine. Still, it's very interesting to see someone discussing hip hop, specifically the bland pointless hip hop that charts the tops, in intelligent literary terms.

I absolutely loved the part where his analysis engine broke down.

At first I thought that was the rapper Rhymefest. I had to watch it a few times to make sure it wasn't him.

So, has anyone else been bugged by the fact that How To Be a Pirate got a second episode? The whole thing seems kind of  to me.

Doesn't bother me at all. I liked the first, even though it seemed to come out of nowhere. Haven't watched the second yet.

Spoony is severely underrated. His movie reviews are both hilarious and thorough. If only he did them more ):

Nostalgia Critic is awesome. Can't say I like anyone besides them, Linkara and Sage.

I love Linkara's reviews. He's great in his reviews and his History of Power Rangers special he has.

Also, Angry Joe is fine in small doses.

I don't like Nostalgia Chick though. She's cute, but she's not funny and she comes off as pretentious at times.

NC, Linkara, Spoony, and Todd in Shadows would probably be my top favorites. Sage's video game reviews are pretty good. And I agree that Angry Joe is good in small doses. He starts to get annoying real quick at times. There are a couple other videos I watch from time to time. Cinema Snob tries *various product* is good sometimes. And the new Rap Critic has promise. Also, I'm starting to like Film Brain as well. He kind of won me over during Kickassia.

Edit: I forgot about CR's Familiar Faces.

I didn't use to like Joe, but I think he's great now. I watch most everyone except some of the Game Heroes and any of the anime stuff.

I hope they're planning on another live charity event. Last year's was great.

Especially when they killed off Melvin ;)

Oh god. I'm watching the newest Brad tries. When the 'moonshine' hits them... :lmao:

Yes, as a kid, It scared the crap outta me.

Doesn't phase me now. And the Critic does a good job of taking the scary out of Pennywise and making him look rather silly. You should give the review a try. Before it even starts he's already destroyed every Stephen King movie ever made.

The film scared me until he turned into a giant spider.Couldn't stop laughing after I saw that part.

I think I'm starting to fall in love with Marzgurl, particularly after hearing her "Marzgurl sings" videos; she's got a great singing voice.

Anyone got any idea what type of camera Nostalgia Critic uses or what kind of software can be used for those effects?

LOL! That IT review is AMAZING! LOL! Might be my favorite of his yet

Leprachuan was funny, too. That part where the tricycle made the truck flip had me dying.

IT is a stupid movie, but I still like it. Mostly for Curry. Though the spider kills it. It's one of those that I recognize is stupid, but still like.

The ending to the "My Pet Monster" review has me concerned. Is he quitting?

I doubt it. I thought it was a rip on a movie, I just didn't know which one.
