Seriously, all these people who complain about the "terrible" prequels?
They could be worse. Much worse. Holiday special worse.

I agree. So many people say that 'TPM' is worse (because of Jar Jar). But, in my opinion, the worst is in fact 'AOTC'. It's just so poorly acted and it tries so hard to make 'Star Wars' fun again. It's quite obvious that after 'TPM', Lucas had a little panic attack from all the hate it got so he obviously wanted to try and fix that... But, he failed.

Anyhow, loved that Holiday Special review from the Critic. Very funny, but terrifying at some points. That special looks as depressing as all hell. It makes me sad for all the actors who had to appear in it.

Fun? Yeah he failed EPCILY at that. AOTC was boring as hell. ROTS was definitely the most fun prequel movie. It had some amazing action sequences.

Definitely. That last quarter (a.k.a. the whole "Order 66" montage) really made me open my eyes. I was surprised at how much I cared about what was happening. Also, Ian McDiarmid gives a terrific performance as Sidious. And Ewan McGregor really steps it up as Obi-Wan in this installment. All-in-all, 'ROTS' was a pleasant and welcome surprise.

I had found out years ago that there was a Star Wars holiday special, but never went out of my way to obtain it. From what i heard people compare it to Roger Corman's Fantastic Four B-movie. Practically because of the fact both are so hard to find they are usually bootlegged. Now ive seen that version of Fantastic Four and in no way can it hold a candle to the utter horror that is The Star Wars Holiday special. When everyone said it was incredibly bad, i thought it would be along the lines of "so campy its funny". Upon seeing NC's review, I could not be any farther from the truth. It's not even enjoyable camp! It's just.....boring. There's no purpose to anything going on. An entire segment on installing a robot that only exists in the star wars universe?!....WHY?!!!!!

Can't wait for it. I wonder if he'll do 'Commando'. I like the movie, but so many of the "catchphrases" from it are just ripped off from lines Arnie used in 'The Terminator'.
