I'll be honest, I only watch NC, Bum Reviews and Linkara's stuff. I have no idea who the hell the rest of them are but I am really looking forward to Kickassia!

I actually used to be subscribed to AmazingAtheist. His videos used to be funny, but it seems like he stopped making jokes at some point, and started constantly shouting from on top his soapbox. Granted, AmazingAtheist is pretty much a soapbox channel, but he started losing me when his videos went from poking fun to doing back-and-forth debate videos. Similarly, The Distressed Watcher started off fun, but Joses Christ did I ever feel like banging my head against my desk while watching his latest Star Wars video.


Basically, I have the same problem with him that I have with South Park about 80% of the time. Stop ranting like a nut, and start making jokes again. It's not a good look, TJ.

yeah i can agree with his views at time, but a lot of the time it seems like a i'm right you're wrong and if you disagree you're a moron

Guess it depends on how you see it; like I said, you could use the same criticism to discredit MJ and you'd be wrong. Just because she isn't using the full potential of her vocals by doing pop music does not make her songs bad, and it most certainly doesn't give justification to compare her to talentless divas like Speares who she's nothing like. NChick pretty much said that because she has blonde hair she's just like those other shallow pop stars. This is ridiculous, and it goes to show how little of that portion of her review she actually thought out. Outside of their bleached heads they're nothing alike in image or music. Ignore her hair color and one would more quickly think to compare her image to Madonna or Bjork and her music to Madonna or MJ.

She isn't discrediting them because they're blondes, she's discrediting them because their music does indeed suck and focus more on image and gimmicks than any actual good music and substance. It happens to both the crappy (Britney Spears) and the talented (Jessica Simpson, Lady GaGa) singers.

But it's even worse with Jessica Simpson, who has a good singing voice but chooses awful songs to sing; and Lady GaGa, who has talent but uses absolutely none of it in favor of bad songs and fueling her bizarre image.

It's just a coincidence that they're almost all blondes (notice that she also criticized the brunette Katy Perry for her awful "I Kissed a Girl" song). And yes they are alike in music and image. It's nothing but shallow, meaningless crap that relies far more on stupid images than anything of actual substance. This was especially true in the 90's where Britney, Jessica, and Christina were all pretty much the same damn thing. Only more recently have blonde female pop stars have been trying to differentiate themselves like Taylor Little focusing on a more country style, Lady GaGa being Lady GaGa, etc.

Definitely check out Spoony. He didn't win "Funniest Person to Follow" on the Open Web Awards for nothing.

I'd advise you start out with something early and vanilla like his review of "Yor: Hunter From the Future". Then check out "Nightmare", mainly because it gives him a key running gag, and because after you watch it his review of "Pumpkinhead's Revenge" makes a lot more sense. And "Pumpkinhead" is awesome.

Oh, and make sure you know about Dr. Insano. It makes the "Warrior" crossover even more fun.

I remember that I only watched NC, Bum, and Ask that Guy. Then I happened to notice Spoony's vlog about his XBox going down again. Decide, "what the hell?", and went back to his first vid and started watching.

I went through all his vids in less than 3 weeks. I just couldn't stop watching.
