It's not just you. She seems like she's not really the same personality type as the rest of them, which may drain her.

Then again, that may just be her on-screen character. In her most recent videos she seems to be aloof and calm most of the time.

I want to start a vlog, myself. I've got the webspace (even if I didn't, there's Youtube, and they'll pay you if you get enough subscribers), but I don't have a camera or the editing software.

I've been looking over the terms for blip.tv (the site that hosts all of TGWTG's videos) and it seems like you'll get some revenue from advertising so long as people are watching you videos. You wouldn't have to beg for subscribers like on Youtube. But of course the revenue is directly tied to how many times your videos get watched.

And as for audience, apparently TGWTG's forums are where a lot of the site's main contributors got picked up - LordKat, Paw, MikeJ and several others that I can't think of right now all got their start there.

So right now my master plan is to start posting my videos in their forums and hope people notice me. In fact, from what I've read of them they're pretty supportive of new series makers.

Are you allowed to post vids on both sites at the same time, or is there some kind of exclusivity clause in their terms?

Well, once you've posted your video onto blip it's legally copyrighted to you, so you can host it wherever you want.

That's pretty much how TGWTG works. All of the users' videos are hosted by blip and then linked to on their own sites.

But, if they take your stuff down, you've still got them up on Blip. And if they shut you down, it'll just embolden your fans and make them more fanatic for you.

I think that the Nostalgia Chick's "Disinterest" is just part of her character. Just like how Spoony is not really a mad scientist or President of the USA. And Nostalgia Critic doesn't want to violently conquer a nation.

In the third quarter of the 2009 Fiscal year, Walker's shows earned $53,000 with $32,000 from the Nostalgia Critic alone. "

Can't say for sure how much Doug personally makes from the site, considering how many people share the earning of that money. His own shows are co-written with his brother and considering how much Barghav helps out, the two of them must get some of that share.

Well, the people who post on TGWTG's forums can get a bit... clingy, shall we say? Declaring crushes on her and generally acting like drunk guys at bars when the cute girl looking at grad schools walk in.

Then people started making fanart of her. Now plenty of it is perfectly fine, but... well... Google Image Search "Nostalgia Chick" with the safety off and see what you find.

It was enough to make her seriously consider quitting her job. And really, after seeing that one particular image, I don't blame her for thinking that.

I loved her review of Showgirls she did recently, with her friens filling in for the various characters at times.

And it taught me a valuable lesson. Everybody got AIDS an ****.

I didn't know that and I'm saddened to hear it. I hate the way some people fel the need to act like jerks to people for no reason other than the fact they can.
