the 10 worst films of 2007

Flexlicous, the dude isn't a troll, ive seen him around and he's ok, he made a passing statement and clarified after that what he was referring to, i.e. Shia hate..anyway, you and me talked TF the other day, we disagree as do you and Z, but hey that's all good, we didn't need to all throw insults and catch feelings did we ? i'm saying you just need to put your view smart and chill.

I don't catch feelings; I spew them.

I'll talk civil if both sides are going to play that way. If I see someone saying something obnoxious, I should be able to call them on it.

Call them on it? YES....

Call them names? NO....

No one is saying you can't disagree with someone.........you just can't flame them, call them names.....etc.

Come on....you know this.....

Lies, you'd blubber like a teen girl at a JT concert if someone defiled the Perl. :cmad:

That's the thing, all you do by attacking back is put yourself in the same boat, "He started it" is hardly gonna fly is it ? rise above or report or brush off and ignore.

I really don't feel a lack of tact is a big deal.

You leave the Perl out of this. You have no right!

But that would be tattling. Which is just as bad as name calling.

Well Flex, I don't know what to tell ya then......you flame back, call names, etc......then the list I gave you before will apply......

:csad:

*Shakes fist* Buy me the Devils Backbone and maybe i'll leave him out of it. :cmad:

Then ignore or rise above and reply smartly with counter points.

Damnit, DB is hard to find. And the only places that sell it overcharge.

I'm content to stay at their level, and if they're saying something stupid enough to set me off, a smart reply would be wasted.

Well i found it on amazon for about £8, but out of stock, maybe they'll get it back.

Well all i can say is, if you do it that way, you wont complain when you get infracted right ?

I don't know what passes for a Barnes and Noble in your country, but they've usually got it.

Are you kidding me? I won't stop *****ing if you give me an infraction for something that minor. If you caught me posting goatsee? Then, probably not.

those who hate grindhouse must be 25 and under! these types of films were around in the 60's and 70's at theaters like the Metropolitan or affectionatly know as the Met here in Chicago. yes i'm showing my age (38) but these badly cut, silly films are childhood experiences for us old fogeys. sorry you whippersnappers! this was made for us old folks.

I get it just fine, Grindhouse is based on and homages the poor exploitation films from the 70s. If you enjoyed GrindHouse, that's great. More power to you. But I don't enjoy any zombie movies featuring people's heads being ripped off and eaten...I don't care what it is paying thanks to. Grindhouse is based on poor lackluster lowbudget horror films created during the 70s, that doesn't excuse the fact that it is a poor film in itself.

If 20 years from now, a horrible gory slasher 'torture porn' film is released, will it be praised if the filmmakers simply say "we were homaging the slasher films of the '00s like Eli Roth's Hostel and Cabin Fever." Again, for me, it has nothing to do with what silly films it was based on, but more of it being another, in my opinion, terrible bloody pile of useless tripe.

For me......?????

The whole sequence with Depp in "his hell" so to speak on a ship in the middle of a desert.......was just weird..........and it kind of went downhill from there.....

WHAT ????? That was the best scene in the movie. Depp's character did become the focus and thats because is character was more entertaining .
I didn tlike the girl morphing into a giant i was expecting somethin else but the last film was pulled off nicely.

The Tripper should be on the list. I thought it would be quirky and fun , I was wrong , the film is just one boring scene after another.

I agree to disagree..........even as a Depp fan, that was one of the most boring scenes of any movie this year, IMO.

So if you know all that, and hated zombies, why the heck did you see it? They were clearly making fun of the old grindhouse experiences because they were nostalgic and funny.

Spider-Man 3 and Michael Clayton. I really don't understand how Michael Clayton achieved such critical acclaim, I found it incredibly boring.

I think my 'worst' film of the year has to be Ghost Rider. I've seen such an awkwardly made film with a cast with no chemistry. Yes, Eva's ass made it worth while but that's it. Bad acting, bad visual effects (damn you Sony Imageworks), and just bad everything. Nothing friggin' worked in that film.

Spider-Man 3, to me, was the most "Dissapointing"..it's almost heartbreaking. Fanboys can be ruthless people though, and I think they should give Raimi a break. I love Raimi still...but he did indeed dropped the ball on Spidey 3, but I also feel it was all his fault (think producers).

I agree with pretty much all of this. Ghost Rider was one of the worst superhero films ever made. It knocked them straight back to the Batman & Robin days. The prologue sequence wasn't bad, but as soon as Nicolas Cage shows up onscreen, the entire movie plummets straight to hell. And I like Cage in a lot of films. But that film was atrocious. And Spidey 3 was enjoyable at times, and you start to think it's really going somewhere... and them it just falls apart. It's a shame too, because I think the first two films were two of the best in the entire genre. Oh, well.

at least according to fhm so take it for what its worth

1.Who’s Your Caddy?

i've only seen 23 and it was utter crap with one of the most obvious twists i've seen in ages.

anyone admitt to have seen the others

watched good luck chuck, chuck and larry, and hot rod. i must agree that those movies were pretty bad. :csad:

I think many of you confuse listing 'movies I was disappointed in' with 'worst', unless you only saw like 5 movies throughout the year, and if that's the case you have business listing any movies in this thread.

With that said, here are some of my 'worst' movies.

Hot Rod
The Reaping
The Invisible
The Hills Have Eyes 2
Epic Movie
Evan Almighty
The Messengers
Catch and Release

Movies I was 'disappointed' in:

Spider-Man 3
Knocked-Up
1408
Shooter
The Host
Waitress

southland tales shoulda never been made a movie

I saw a total of 17 movies this year, out of those, the only ones I just flat out found bad, and actually had to struggle to sit through were...

The Number 23
Ghost Rider
Rush Hour 3
Saw IV

300
Smokin' Aces

Especially the latter. The biggest dissapointment ever.

hehe, i liked ghost rider :woot:

I saw it for the first time a few days ago on comcast HD digital cable

I didn't watch so many 2007 movies, as I enjoy old movies. But Transformers, Ghost Rider, FF 2, Saw IV were pretty lame for sure. And for Transformers, I do not base my opinion on Shia LaBoeuf, but on the general borefest the movie was.
