The 2006/2007 Ashes Thread

Flintoff gets another wicket. Maybe we can limit them to 600 :csad:

We will declare soon, gotta let the pom's have a knock :D

Time for some rain.

Sorry, clear sky's for the week :D, that might change in Adelaide, it always seems to rain there.

Alternatively drug Ponting's coffee so he falls asleep and forgets to declare. A draw will do fine.

Well I hope Ponting doesn't wait to long, it would seem selfish if he is staying in just to make his 200, not very "team like" play.

It won't be long for his 200. I doubt they'll declare too soon. I'd expect them to go for at least 500 if not 550/600 and try and force the follow on.

It looks like we were just as useless with the bat :cmad:

I was at work during the second half of the match. One of my work mates came in saying that England was 3/50. I laughed, I laughed so hard then I realised there is still 4 more tests to go. 4 more tests to laugh at :D

It could be over in a couple of days at this rate.

I hope England do put up a fight, there has been some major hype over this Ashes series in Australia, it would suck if it was anti-climatic.

Yeah, it would get very boring by the fourth and fifth tests if it stayed so one sided. Lets see how Pietersen and Flintoff get on with the bat.

Not sure whether it's worth watching this :(

Oh Hell.

This always happens, its going to be a long series.

We struggled to 157 and you guys are at 67 in about 2 minutes  :(

Time to book those flights home.

Well you just got a wicket so anything can happen. Its happened before, we made a great first innings but fell apart in the second.

England need to bat for two and half days in their second innings to get a draw. It's almost like the Aussies have to support us in sympathy so that the Ashes is still some sort of contest :woot:

This will no doubt be Mc Grath's and Warney's last ashes series, so what ever happens I will still enjoy watching these two guys play for the last time. Its the end of an era for Australian cricket.

I'll be glad to see the back of them :woot:

They are two of the best all time bowlers. Warne is probably the best. It's definitely a privilege to have seen them in action.

Indeed, just the character of Warney alone will be a huge loss to the fans. I can remember going to matches and watching him stir up the opposition supporters, a real crowd pleaser that guy is. As for Glenn Mc Grath, he is looking at going out in style, 6 for 50 is amazing for a guy that was in bad form and about to retire.

Yeah they're both legends, especially Warne. He'll be a huge loss to the sport when he's finished.

I wonder if the English batsman can hold out until the end of tomorrow. Unlikely but posible.

We are the only 2 posters in here :(

:D

At least it's not one sided - one Aussie and one ...loser :csad:

You know what there's not been a wicket for a while - JINX
