For me this film had the best action sequences of any comic book movie to date, maybe it was the real locations and oldschool stunt work that spoke to my inner Bond fan, but regardless, the set pieces are stunning.

So the question lets discuss them and feel free to vote for your favourite in the poll. :)

I'm going to kick things off with Cap taking down the Quinjet, not only is the way he bears down on it on his bike a fantastic visual, but the way he leaps onto it and then systematically takes out it's engines with his shield so it crashes is one of the best hero moments in any Comic book flick to date IMO.

black widow wasn't so bad herself. I dunno if it's just me but she seemed less showy/flashy than iron man 2 so i was pretty happy about that too.

anyways, i particularly love the set pieces like the bridge fight in the middle of the film or the initial attack on the boat.

special mention to the elevator fight.
*blahblahblah*
I wrote a whole paragraph a while ago about it but it didn't make any sense.
I can't quite articulate how I love it... just thinking about it turns my brain to mush. I'll try again tomorrow. hahaha

watching it again for the third time later!

The knife fighting sequence is one of the best fight scenes I've ever seen. They really did justice to these characters. Bucky is one of my favourite characters and I loved how he actually came off as menacing and scary throughout the film. It's nice to have a villain that actually comes off as a threat.

When it comes to CBM's this probably had the best choreography of them all, I really loved all the fight/action scenes.

Cap vs Batroc

The first time (for me) that Captain American fighting style feels like CA.
Without going off on a tangent, how many Batman movies have we had? 6? And not once have I felt Batman's fighting style feeling like Batman.

My favorite action scene is the one with Nick Fury - so thrilling!

You're talking about
that mind-blowing car chase scene ? Seeing him taking out all those HYDRA agents was so much fun .

My favorite one is the roadway action scene . That whole action sequence was BRILLIANT !

It's been hard to vote on the poll, as I noted I love Cap taking down the Quinjet, the opening sequence on the Tanker reminds me of MGS2, The Falcon has some great moments in the Hellicarrier battle, and the second fight with Cap and The Winter Soldier is great.

However I have to go for the freeway chase sequence. It just has everything, it really showcases how deadly The Winter Soldier is. There's a gun battle, Black Widow has a couple of awesome moments, The Winter Soldier rips apart an SUV and the 1st fight between The Winter Soldier and Cap is probably my favourite comic movie one on one to date.

All the action scenes were satisfying and extremely well done. However, the fight with Winter Soldier on (and off) the freeway was simply awesome. I loved how unstoppable he seemed from beginning to end. They did a great job with the action choreography in this film. What I love most of all is how they gave everyone something to do throughout the movie. Nobody was useless or helpless. The movie deserves praise for that alone.

Freeway chase featuring Cap vs The Winter Soldier, for sure.

That what i was thinking as well after watching the movie.

I would sell my soul to Mephisto himself if we can have a Batman fight scenes like the ones in TWS.( Huge Batman fan)

That Bane Vs Batman fight in TDKR was such a letdown for me personally. They fought like a couple of third graders duking it

Yeah, there are many thrilling and awesome fights and actions sequences, but the freeway chase sequence has got to be one of the bests in film. I never imagined that this Robin type kinda guy could be turned into such a badass. Great job here.

Cap vs WS in the free way. That fight scene made me weep. It was that good.:woot:

Another thing I loved about the action scenes is that Cap has to fight without his shield at some points and doesn't always rely on it which I like, for example at the start Batroc says "I thought you were more than a shield Captain." then Cap puts his shield away, takes his helmet off and proves he is a worthy match in a fight even without his shield.

And again in the first Cap vs WS fight on the freeway, there is a brief moment where he fights without the shield.

This is what I want to see from Thor because in his film appearances especially The Dark World, I thought he relied on Mjolnir a little too much and seemed a little weak without it and there are hardly any scenes of him fighting just hand to hand. In Age of Ultron I hope we see more of Thor showing his strength in hand to hand combat EVEN when he doesn't have his hammer.

The opening action sequence is probably one of the great highlights, because it immediately sets the tune of the movie, a good black ops/spy world/espionage action piece. Batroc was made into a total badass, Captain America leading his STRIKE team and eliminating the Pirates was like watching Zero Dark Thirty, beautiful.

Samuel L. Jackson's car chase sequence was wonderful, it's nastyu and violent, you get a good chase and it ends brutally with the Winter Soldier.

Then you got the biggest action sequence to me, which is the 2nd chase scene with Winter Soldier, from the car chase to the bus, to the gun toting to finally good ol' beat 'em up between Captain America and the Winter Soldier, whats important is the cut editing of frames is almost bare minimum on Hollywood standards, it still has that slight annoying frame cuts to make things seem faster, but it's just deleting the flow in my eyes. I loved the fight, i loved the ending, it was the action sequence. Alot of it has to do with the excellent Winter Soldier theme song.

The 3rd act, i didn't really care for the Falcon or Helicarriers exploding, but i did care about the emotional turmoil Steve had to go thru with Bucky, but they went thru it together, till the very end.

<3 the action in this film.

So many pulse pounding action sequences, but The Fury vs Hydra & the Winter Soldier Chase sequence would be my second pick because of the tension involved giving the sense that all was lost for Fury.

The action in this film was much better than The Dark Knight Rises IMHO. It was staged a lot better. I think The Dark Knight had a couple more expired sequences.

I think Nolan doesn't get gunshots on film very well as well as like hand-to-hand combat.

All the action sequences here are incredible in their own right, but personally, I absolutely love the hostage rescue/Cap vs Batroc brawl.

Just an excellent way to help start the film. Cap was a complete bad-ass in this one and near-perfect choreography all around.

I liked the end fight when time was running out and Cap [BLACKOUT]just throat-lifted Bucky, then slammed him on the floor[/BLACKOUT]. It's usually the villains pulling moves like that against the heroes. I was pleased to see that Cap was not playing around.

This movie had the best Hand to Hand fight scenes since the Blade films. It's not even a contest, IMO.

My favorite Action scene has to be the Nick Fury chase. That scene has me wanting a Nick Fury solo film ASAP. I screamed in excitement when Fury finally got his car machine gun device working.

To be honest, this film just reminds me of how underwhelming hand to hand sequences are in Batman films.
