Well, it was only just the setup issue, not like it was anything terribly important.

Though I did like the idea of them using stolen skyscrapers of all things to build a fortress.

Yeah i was a little peeved that he only got one tiny little panel when he was teasered a hell of a lot as a main character, but then again Rogue barely appeared either. My guesses this is just a little backstory that Carey couldn't fit in the main book.

It's only just started so it'shard to say, really. The first issue was an introduction, not a story moving one.

This event sure is making me google and wikipedia a lot of mutants. And that's just the ones I recognize. Where are those annoying identification/description bubbles when you need them?

Chapter 3 was pretty good; diggin this event much more than I thought I would. It's weird seeing Logan neutered but I'm sure we'll get some "Snikt" action before it's all over.

did Carey actually just kill Rogue/Legacy, Gambit/Remi off do you think?

He did state that the focus would move to a different character.

Doubtful, but she is gonna have to split the spotlight with Logan and Basilisk big time now though.

Kill off Rogue? Carey's baby? No frikkin' way. It's that whole cliche', dead but not dead. Mags is just up to something on his own, I'll bet.

I really dont think Rogue, Reaper, Legacy or whatever the heck her name is, is dead

BTW, I LOVE the new costumes on the New Mutants. They should wear theses in 616, especially Magma

This Age of X is kinda interesting

But like the other X-Men comic books, its always about Rogue, Cyclops, Wolverine and Magneto.

Plus why do they always have a big cast, while most of them are just in the background.

The cast is so big so everybody gets to see their favorite mutants if only for a second. Cannonball's getting a lot of speaking lines

I'd kill to see Havok and Polaris show up but apparently if you're off-planet in the 616 universe, you don't exist in any other one

It's largely an excuse to have the X-Men fight other Marvel heroes that they wouldn't typically clash with in the mainstream U. And a cash grab, so they can sell the title to Marvel fans that aren't necessarily X-Readers.

But they always bring the Avengers (or any characters from Marvel universe) in every X-Event.

I don't care if its a sales strategy but they should stop doing it.

so how did this story turn out?

It would have been totally forgettable if some of the mutants didn't choose to retain their memories from AoX(Rogue being one of them, as if she needed any more voices in her head :whatever).

The best news is that Cyclops said he's going to find Rachel; which means Havok and Polaris too. FINALLY. I just hope it's not something Carey threw in there but won't be an actual story anytime soon. I'd be quite mad.
