The best two months of the year are over. But that doesn't mean there still isn't holiday cheer to be had. From Dia de los Muertos through the New Years, share your favorite movies and traditions. 🥳

Spent the weekend knocking off a couple of traditions and starting a new one.

Mini Candy Cane Review: The double holiday flick always sets the mood.

Wednesday s2e5 "Hyde and Woe Seek" (2025) dir. Angela Robinson

Mini Candy Cane Review: I have a love, hate relationship with Wednesday. Adore Jenna, Emma, Luis, Fred, Evie, Steve, Gwendoline and Thing. But the writing, especially for Mortician, is so blah 90% of the time. Thankfully season 2 stepped it up a bit and this episode is a fun little Day of the Dead adventure, punctuated by some nice satire on appropriation.

Coco (2017) dir. Adrian Molina & Lee Unkrich

Mini Candy Cane Review: Pixar's first proper foray into other cultures started a run of smashing successes thanks in no small part to a fantastic soundtrack.

Speaking for myself, every Halloween season has become "Let me see some horror classics (and not so classics) that I've never seen before" but every holiday season is just "Well, I guess I'll watch The Muppet Christmas Carol again." :o

Would you judge me if I told you after all these years I never sat through 'The Muppet Christmas Carol' in its entirety? :csad:

Now just because I am a thoughtful friend, I will watch it this year because of you! :o

Speaking of Christmas Carols, there's a telemovie that I watch EVERY holiday season starring Vanessa Williams and Chili from TLC, it premiered on VH1 in 2000. It's called A Diva's Christmas Carol.

It is wickedly funny and so good, I doubt anyone remembers it.

But it's a classic in Shinobi's household. :sneeze:

This sounds...kind of familiar? Never saw it but I think I remember the commercials.
