Why Supes. Why you so mean! :waa:
I never read that as mean. :cwink:
Yes the supposed event was tragic, though Batman is smart enough to separate the film, from the chaos and crime that robbed him of his parents. I doubt Batman blames the film.
If anything he used (the last positive thing he did and saw with his parents) that film and character as the means of how to fight back, reinvent himself, and survive.
I'm guessing in that scene, Superman's gift is sharing that he recognizes that there was an orphaned kid there, now an adult, and is aware what he is doing.
Batman's intense look, is realizing how well his friend actually knows him, to his core.

Evil Santa Goldberg spears someone through a deli counter so I can't say that it didn’t deliver the goods. Haven't seen this in over a decade so I had totally forgotten about all of the big names in the opening scene. Takes place in the Evil Dead universe.

A Johnny Bravo Christmas

Santa is canonically one of the few people to have ever lost a fight to Johnny. The Donnie Wahlberg joke got me good.

Charly makes Jason Bourne look like Mr. Rogers.

Krampus

Happy tenth anniversary my beloved.

Happy tenth anniversary my beloved.
Only complaint about Krampus is the whole he's evil Santa with horns crap. :argh:

This movie is lowkey scary looking, but damn is that music so good. Also, I kind of forgot how many times it does the same trick of trying to look like you're on a roller coaster. Neat once. Not so much after the 6th time.

Day 20: Oh. What. Fun (2025)

I wish it lived up to the title, but even a stacked cast couldn't save this thing from being boring and borderline hard to watch at times. Dominic Sessa and my beloved Havana Rose Liu were the saving graces.

Day 21: Catch Me if You Can (2002)

Genuinely would say this is Spielberg's finest. I come away with a new appreciation for it every time I rewatch. Fun, but still has such an incredibly strong heartbreaking core. Wish DiCaprio and Walken played a father/son duo in another film because they're such a great pairing in this. Two of them shine on screen.

Day 22: About a Boy (2002)

One of the many Christmas traditions I will carry with me forever is sitting down and watching this with the family every year. It's such a delight start to finish.

Day 23: It's a Wonderful Life (1946)

I mean, is there really anything to say? You all know. It's Wonderful.

Day 24: Eyes Wide Shut (1999)

Ya know, when I have my depressed walks in the middle of the night in Boston, they're not nearly as interesting as this is. Also, my god does the new transfer look so good. Can't even look at the old blu-ray.

Day 25: A Christmas Story (1983)

Eyes Wide Shut as a Christmas movie is spicy.

They really said let's do the first movie... But in New York for Home Alone 2...

Didn't get to watch many movies this season, but among a few of my favorite classics I also ended up watching a profoundly heinous new piece of detritus on Amazon called Dog Patrol: Operation Santa Paws, inexplicably starring Cuba Gooding Jr., who spends most of his screentime looking like he's actively regretting all his life choices.

It's got a nonsense story, the worst kid actor I've ever seen, a myriad of subplots that go nowhere, and Cuba Gooding Jr. turning his small town into a fascist police state before presumably executing all his prisoners offscreen, as they are never seen again after organizing to demand their rights. Amazing work.
