I just hope they don't follow their challenges DLC route and instead add more story content as DLC. Still waiting for my flashback story DLC that lets you fight the lizard ontop of Oscorp tower.
And the Peter part should not just be some minor story part (like in AC when you start as Bruce until you got your suit). You should be able to switch to Peter at will. No one's going to lose anything by having that option + it adds huge replay value for roleplayers (even if it's just walking mode without swinging etc. I'd still spend a lot of time as Peter).
Other minor things I'd like to see changed/added in the sequel:
- Don't automatically repair my suit when I enter the apartment. This should be an option when you access your closet (I love damaged suits and would spend a lot of time in them)
- Peter has an MP3 player in his suit in the movie... go figure? I'm sure Sony would throw in a few of the titles Spidey listens to in the movie. I don't expect this feature though since it takes away resources from the PS3/360 version and the next gen consoles AFAIK don't support media content on HDD yet
- Maybe a hardcore option that removes infinite webfluid so you have to refill at your apartment?
- Please don't remove web-rush (this is pretty much the only way we could pull off movie-style acrobatic moves), improve it to use webs that attach to buildings and have it be fully aware of the environment. This should be doable with the huge amount of RAM & hardware found in PS4/XB1/PC (so web-rush alters the path dynamically, like the end of the movie trailer where Electro destroys a structure Spidey was jumping to, forcing Spidey to alter his path).
- Proper physics for the whole web swinging system. Don't just have webs attach to objects, let webs have their own physics (elastic weblines that aren't just traight lines). Same goes to Spidey, you should feel and see the force behind every swing (I expect movie-like animations this time around. No excuses). I don't want to let go off the webline and fly 2m, the sheer force should launch me pretty far.
- Improve the fighting mechanics/animations. The arkham style combat mechanic is nice but the animations don't fit. Spidey doesn't just beat mobs up, Spidey doesn't roll out of the way. Spidey jumps around and does acrobatic moves using his environment (walls etc.).
- Living world. I don't need a huge map that has copy/paste buildings/details. I'm fine with the same map size but added detail... oh and please change the Oscorp tower, it's hideous (Movie version please).
- Let me play as Peter whenever I want and add activites for him (meet Gwen? Meet Harry? Highschool minigames? Get stuff for aunt may?). I know a lot of people don't want to play as Peter or think that Peter minigames are boring, but if they add that content and make it optional it would please a lot of players (roleplayers?).
- I'm pretty confident that they add a different crime system this time around with the whole hero or menace system in place. Crimes should always be infinite (maybe slow down crimerate if your rating is good and increase the crimerate if you ignore crimes).
- The world shouldn't just be a dynamic loading screen (to get to the next level), use the world for missions/levels (they promise they'll do it but I just thought I'd write it down again).
- REALISTIC SIZE FOR CHARACTERS. Don't know what I mean? Play TASM1 and see for yourself. The lizard had the same size & build as Spider-Man... fix that Beenox, I want a teenage body Spider-Man and a proper sized villain this time around.
- Weather effects. Wouldn't it be nice to fight in the rain or have a foggy night full of crime?
- Stay away from apocalypse storylines. Give us a dramatic story that doesn't climax with NYC burning. I want to stop playing story missions and freeroam (freeroaming in a burning NYC isn't fun). Damage areas if you want (time square fight with electro? power grid fight with electro? you know what I mean) but don't turn the whole city into hell on earth.
