Is it just me or does it look like the line launcher from the Arkham games?

Dammit, Beenox... You need to take PRIDE in your work. Then again, I don't really know what goes on in their offices. So maybe that's not something I should judge them on.

It was always up. It was just set to private instead of unlisted last night because it wasn't supposed to be set to public until today.

Beenox Spidey game trailers have weird glitches such as that in trailers all the time. In the Shattered Dimensions teaser trailer, you can see a random gun just floating in the air.

Still hard to make out. Why would the webbing be white on one side and black on the other? Unless that is supposed to symbolize the symbiote's possible role in the game, that could very well just be lighting. It is dark on the ride side but gets lighter again.

Pretty certain that's just some really ****** lighting.

The webbing is definitely black in some parts of the trailer.

The webbing is black due to lighting issues. There is no black webbing, it's not supposed to be black. It's just a bug/glitch/issue with the game. A lot of Spidey games had that issue (hint: Spider-Man 3 suffered from it a lot).

Ok, the reason I was a bit dissapointed with the trailer is because I was expecting it to look better on next gen, that's the only reason I guess.

For instance, I was expecting these two pics of Kraven and Spidey to be actual ingame models for the next gen version, which isn't really that much of a strech to do, especially on next gen, heck you cou probably achive it on ps3/360 as well.

That lighting on spideys left arm and all the detail on his suit and webs, that's what I was expecting and that's why I'm a tad dissapointed.

Also that white scuff on Kravens jacket, it looked really low texture in the trailer and didn't pop at all, even his chest hair in the trailer, it looked like dirt instead of hair lol.

Ohhh and another thing!

The webbing! What is with the cartoony webbing?? This is the same webbing they've used in previous games! Just make it less thick and more like the, ughhhh I don't know, the movie!

I'd like them to release a proper gameplay trailer with narration etc... I just watched the gameplay walkthrough trailer for the new lord of the rings game (shadow of mordor) and it was 7-8 minutes of uncut gameplay with dev walkthrough. Why can't Beenox do something like that? I mean I'm pretty sure that LOTR game is scheduled to be released after TASM2.

I watched the trailer again and there's a few things I found (compared to TASM1 etc.):
- Oscorp Tower is similar to the one in the movie universe now (they probably had time constraints in TASM1 because a lot of people said Sony took pretty long designing the tower)
- Daily Bugle is in the game (the building, atleast)
- A lot of animations re-used from the first game (which is a good thing tbh, most animations were pretty good/realistic)
- Peter Parker model looks similar to Andrew Garfield (from behind atleast, similar haircut etc.). I expect them to make him look similar to Andrew (no "copy" but similar)
- Seems like they got my feedback about Spideys size. He seems to be smaller now and not as buffed/muscular in comparison to street thugs.
- The city seems to have a lot more detail in the streets etc.
- I'm still not fully convinced that this is the next-gen version. I mean if you look at the last shot of Spidey (where he launches himself through the street) you can see quite a few cars in a "traffic" jam beneath him, but if you look further behind there seems to be a lack of cars. If it were on next-gen consoles they could've easily managed to cram a few more cars in there... well if they bothered to rework their game engine a bit and optimize it. I just hope we don't have another Spider-Man 3 situation where e.g. the PS3 version looked better but was laggy and unoptimized.

don't know whether to laugh or cry at the amount of denial in here

By the way, I have seen the trailer now in 1080p, and lightning and character models are pretty improved since TASM1. Also, my opinion is that there is mixed shots of PS4/XBO and PS3/360 in the trailer (differences in lightining, reflections and aliasing across the trailer indicates that).

Oh, and for some reason, this brings me such 616 vibe... It's the comic book suit, along with a beautiful New York, vibrant colors, comic-bookey fight hits and a supposedly improved swinging system.

It looks cool :D

No denial here. I'm perfectly fine with the game as it is according to the trailer (graphic wise). Will get it regardless of reviews or opinions on here, that's how I roll. Spidey fan (only buying open-world Spidey games though). Will without a doubt have a lot of fun with it (especially with the proper web-swinging mechanics).

Anyway, I have to say one thing.

Spider-Man 2 had pretty ugly graphics. And no one has complained. Because it's fun.

Some folks on these forums are focken insane. Crying about movie CGI and game graphics...
Someday ya'll realise that photorealistic CGI/Graphics don't mean **** without good story/gameplay.

It's possible they've improved on the gameplay elements enough that the game itself will be fun. At this point there's no telling by how much or to what degree they may have improved things.

Very true. It would seem that graphics have corrupted people since those days.

Back in the day we went from this:

To this:

And nobody cared because you could finally swing around an open New York as Spider-man.

I can understand people complaining about the first teaser trailer for the game. Spidey's textures were incredibly blotchy.

But I knew they would improve because it was an early build of the game.

Now we have a good comparison between the two trailers and how much better the textures got.

Also I don't think people here appreciate the graphics in this game enough. The game looks really good for a movie licensed game that has a small development time.
The graphics look pretty good for an open world game. Movie licensed games aren't usually open world games so we have to appreciate that we could've easily gotten a half-assed beat 'em up game with no open world gameplay.
You guys should be thankful that the game doesn't look worse.
I mean look at Thor's movie video game.

Now look at what Beenox can do.

Try to be a little more thankful when it comes to nit picking graphics.

Just remember that this is not a triple A game and it will not look better than a triple A game like Assassins Creed IV : Black Flags or Killzone Shadowfall.

Beenox has not had as much time to make this game as these companies have to make their games. I'm happy with the graphics, they could've been a hell of a lot worse given the circumstances.

The Spidey model from the first ASM game was easily the best looking model we've had thus far. I'd expect Beenox to top that with this game. That's one thing I'm confident about.

I have to admit, Spidey does look good in the new game.

We definitely need to see new gameplay before we can confirm this though.

Excellent post, man.

I'm pretty optimistic as of now.
