Definitely TASM2 in my book. It's much more entertaining although I will say they're different movies.

TASM2 improved in all areas. Action/fun, romance, drama, aesthetics...

TASM was better than TASM2, but both movies IMO are forgettable. With the direction they've taken in 2, I could care less about any future instalments (unless the trailers somehow blow my mind).

I didn't think it would be this close. I think TASM was a better structured and paced film. And even though it felt like a retread of Raimi's first Spider-Man film it at least knew what it wanted to be. Now TASM2, I found it much more entertaining. I actually want to watch it again, but it definitely suffered from some Spider-Man 3 syndrome, even if it was in small doses.

If I had to choose right now I'd say TASM.

TASM 8.5 for me, TASM2 (7.5-8), i thought this was going to be different but TASM2´s story is just eh?, i loved the scenes with Spidey,Gwen, Harry and Aunt May for every scene that i love there is other that either doesn´t make sense or i simply don´t like ,but it just seems that Sony had no idea what movie they wanted to do with this an threw away the story and what TASM accomplished (imho)for the spectacle of a blockbuster

Yeah, I like to think of ASM2 as the better Spidey film, but ASM as the generally better film.

I am really surprised about this. Amazing spider man was good but far form great. The amazing spider man 2 is really good maybe great and I don't get all this talk about Campy. Spider man 1-3 where 100 times has campy and people didn't caplain about it and the amazing spider man was more campy to. This movie had way less chese moments then any spider man yet. The only stupid cheses thing I can really think of is the light my candles line by electro and when max is talking to him self that is it!

Only gave TASM2 a 5/10
