The Amazing Spider-Man 2 The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Video Game Thread - Part 2

With apparently zero news and less than 4 months before the movie hits, I really doubt this game will be any good. Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't the first movie game get much more news and even trailers at this stage?
Yep yep, we did

I remember we got the announcement trailer at the VGAs 2011. That showed a lot more than the trailer we have now. I think Beenox will impress us this time, it's probably Activision holding them back from showing anything because they would probably not think a movie licensed game is worth the time. It just sounds to me like there's a lot more interesting ideas in this game than the last one, Peter Parker missions, morality system and the promise of a unique web swinging mechanic. If I can swing around like in Spider-man 2 on a PS4 and it feels better, I'll be happy. So the other things are a huge plus for me. Oh and more costumes than the last game, I don't think there has been a lot (if any) "web sticking to the buildings" Spider-man game with bonus costumes.

Also, the announcement trailer for ASM1 game was December of 2011, and we got an announcement trailer October 2013 wasn't it? So I agree there should've been a trailer by now, thankfully we're getting one this week.....I hope. It does seem like Beenox isn't getting as much attention as they got with the last game (which is a shame because this game sounds better and more promising than the last). IGN were talking about it, it got an announcement trailer at the VGA's. All we've got is a small trailer from New York Comic Con. It's a crazy world we live in.

If they nail the webswinging, have proper graphics on the PS4/XB1 (and probably PC) version, proper procedural generated crimes (so theres always something to do) I'll be happy and buy this day 1. If they also manage to nail the city this time around without it being as dull as the one found in the first game I can finally retire Spider-Man 3 as my go to Spidey game.

Everything else (nice story, Peter Parker gameplay, web-rush mode etc.) is a bonus to me. When I'm looking for a Spidey game I'm looking for a freeroaming experience that makes me feel like Spider-Man. Unfortunately, the first one only did that until I grew tired of the dull city & webswinging.

I just want the webs to stick to something when I'm swinging while experiencing the proper acceleration according to how fast I'm falling before I shoot a web in respect to how high it swings me. This is what I think about if I don't have my morning coffee.

I want to test web swinging in that game today
Problem is, the time will come, I will get it, and get bored at it

Well at least the marketing for the movie is awesome.
I hope at the very least the movie turns out to be the most fun
Not sure I'd call the game the most fun movie game, I'd like it to be more fun than the first game in this series

What if they completely throw us off and use their Super Bowl spot to advertise the game!? Lol.

Then I'll laugh
Cause how many care for a Spider-Man game from Activision?

I'm going to watch the Super Bowl, it'd make my day/week/month/year depending on how good it is.

But I'd rather see a trailer sooner (this week? next week?) instead of waiting for the Super Bowl.

No trailer today huh?

Well, tomorrow is wednesday and hopefully it should hit then. Wednesday is my favorite and luckiest day of the week, don't **** with me activision!

I was finally Able to beat electro in the USM video game. Wow that was hard haha.

You know what?

If beenox aren't to blame for the lack of footage, why don't they give us an address to where we can contact their pr team and bother them instead.

At least that way you can get a direct awnser.

Let's kidnap each employee's first born son and change every lightbulb in their head office to less efficient bulbs so they pay slightly more at the end of each month for their electricity bill.

... Too much?
