Also the part in the trailer when Spidey swings with two webs and one is white and one is black, I think that is the morality system at work there. I mean it happens right when Kraven says "a hero or a menace". Could be the trailer just wanting to show both of the web colors at once. I still think it's a little stupid to change the web color to show your morality when the world itself will reflect this with more criminals running around.

He swings from two webs and then reaches to shoot another, I just thought that was really cool.

Beenox did say they want to use all of the buttons on the controller for Web swinging, we may be able to pull off some awesome acrobatics!
 
Anyone else extremely disappointed?
 
I hate the webbing. Looks very cartoony. I know it's a CB character but it just looks phoney. Don't think we'll be getting the swinging we've all been hoping for or they would have shown it...

Yeah, that game was a heck of a lot of fun to web swing in.

Sometimes the webs would stick to the clouds though. Spider-man 2 and Ultimate Spider-man never had that problem.

I really think we will get this web swinging back but with more moves to pull off while web swinging.

I still don't find the web swinging to be accurate. Sometimes it just throws a web up. If there's no tall buildings, you shouldn't be able to swing like that. It makes it more rewarding when you can get all the way up there in the skyline.

SM2 was still better IMO.
 
Sm2 was better. Another thing that bothered me about Asm was the fake momentum. Like when you fire a web line from the ground he gains so much momentum. It's so unrealistic....I bet you that's returning.

I also think we should try to get them to add more than A DIVING animation every time you fall off of a web. That's what I like about SM2. It helped make spidey fun and dynamic and of course they didn't add it.

I hated the diving too, and the web swinging launching me into the air like a rocket.
 
A decent trailer but i still think that the Uncle Ben murderer plot could be a Side-Story,Spidey must focus on the bigger threats thats why i think the story will suck... but who knows?
 
Well.....I was hoping the trailer would showcase more. We waited since October for that? I feel like they should have deliberately made it longer to make up for that long wait. I will PROBABLY not buy this game Day 1. The flaws of the game will probably depress me just like most of Beenox's games. They will depress me because we probably will have to wait another two years for this cycle to start all over again and it frustrates me. I mean the fact that they didn't showcase basic web lines done manually really bothers me. I think that we will probably only see them with the automated takedowns and that's it. The only web play we will probably have is bullets....once again which was so unsatisfying. I also wonder how the combat system is going to work. It looks so similar to the first game. BEENOX! Free flow isn't a bad thing but we still need actual combos we can do ourselves. I'm starting to notice a little bit of a pattern in their developing! A lot of the cool stuff or things we could do manually has become automatic or automated. For example some of the cooler combos in Shattered were almost automated after a while. Another example is in Shattered when we could disarm a bad guy. We press circle and it DOES it for us. WTH! Why can't I fire the web myself? Were are the basic web moves? Well...I guess I won't be getting this DAY ONE lol.

What about combining them?

Spiderman 2 swing system is definately considered the best till date.If you can have a power meter and a charged jump then I believe it will be much more rewarding when you reach the top and along with it the acrobatic moves should be manual(based on user) while swinging .

This would make the swinging system much much better.
 
Yeah but they don't believe in something as simple as a charged jump.....smh. All about swinging. This is almost starting to mirror the catastrophe of the now extinct dbz game series.

Mm maybe you and I are on the same boat. The trailer didn't for me a sense of epic as the TASM1 video game did. Jury's still out until I play it myself of course but it looked like the first game. It really did.
