Looks like just PC, but...

I'm thinking here....it's such an old game. THERE HAS TO BE A WAY, to get close to the streets. Like seriously Picard, our lives will not be complete until the day it's done.

We should get ahold of one of the programers from the game and see if they can tell us a hint or two, or hell...a screenshot or video of them on the streets.

Given that the ground and backgrounds are just 2D drawings, I don't think that being able to hit the ground is good lol

As you can tell, there are some raised aspects to the streets. The cars do have depth over the roads, and there are 3D model street lamps as well.

The closest you can swing to the street is about 35 feet, and you can clearly tell there is some detail presented there. It's like a part of my childhood I always wanted to access and here 12 years later and I'm a fully grown adult, and I still have the same desire lmao.

The SM1 game was good for it's time. I had fun with it as a kid, it did it's job. Was worth the money.

Do you remember the level with Shocker that took place in grand central? The design was actually pretty accurate!

It was fun, but the game actually scared me when I was younger. the green goblin was scary to me lol.

I loved the Shocker part of the game. There wasn't anything bad that really stuck out. We didn't know about "good web swinging" at the time. The voice actors did a good job. The plot was decent. All around solid game for 2002.

I loved the Spider Slayers level. That was scary as heck! And I also liked the stealth aspects and being able to web yo yo! LOL

Yeah! Shocker and Vulture were pretty much comic accurate.

Scorpion was definitely influenced by Spider-man 2000's design.

Oscorp levels!!! They were so hard for me as a kid! :D

I always used to freak out when I got spotted!

Yeah that music and the lighting was scary! I loved crawling on the ceiling lol. I hope next week is worth the wait. :woot:

I love that Scorpion design!

And yeah, those Shocker levels rocked!

Yeah almost the exact same. Like many have said earlier, if it was not for the origin and movie based costumes, it could have been the part 3 in the SM1/SM: Enter Electro series.

The mechanics were almost the exact same aswell, just modified.

Those are the best levels in the entire game

It was Scorpion's comic suit back at the time

Then Spider-Man 2 came out and blew us to Heaven and beyond.

LOL I can relate to that. :woot:

I echo all the fond sentiments for the first Spidey movie game, had a lot of fun with that one for what seemed like forever. Tried to get to the dang streets as well, I remember losing on the Vulture fight once when I was low and the camera follows you down to the street and I got a good look and I was like "Well, this is cool! Would be better if Spidey was actually alive lol" I got it the day it came out (think it might've been April 18th) and I was stoked for the movie and all, was just a thrill to know the Spidey movie was right around the corner and this was like a souped-up test run in my mind.

Then Spider-Man 2 came out and blew us to Heaven and beyond.

Haha, yes... :word:

Y'know, since Activision is having so much trouble in making a new game, they should just re-release remastered versions of their classics and add new features to them.
Like they did for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1&2, yes!! I've been wishing they'd just go try that forever.

Agree about SM:The Movie. It was a great game.
btw Oscorp levels were hard as hell. And creepy in some way.

Playing Spider-Man 3 again
Still the most fun Spider-Man game I ever played, and it's genuinely good

Yeah, I played it not too long ago. It's pretty good! But Spider-man 2 is more fun to me since you get to do more things in it like pick up thugs or tie them to street lamps and traffic posts and buy new moves and upgrades.
