Spend the extra $10. It'll be worth that much more alone for re-sale or trade-in value. Not to mention you'll be playing it on a better system and who knows if PS4 will have exclusives that PS3 will not. It's worth all 1000 pennies extra it'll cost you.

He's getting a PS4 regardless so he'll get the extra exclusives no matter what. Movie games don't have much re-sale. This'll literally be $20 or less if he waits until he buys a PS4. From your resident thrift shopper. For example: I am getting this for free. (Well, this or Mario Kart 8. Haven't decided which I want more currently. Maybe MK8 as this will drop in cost so fast, but I mean C'MON I AM SO HYPED FOR THIS MOVIE/GAME.) I don't trade-in games anymore though, it's a pure waste of money that hardly benefits. Re-sale is good though.

I hope they don't have more suit DLC in their pipelines. It's about damn time Spidey games get serious DLC in the form of additional story content (flashback missions etc?). The challenge modes were a waste of everyones time and I highly doubt anyone bought them at all.

After much deliberating, I think I am going to have to pass on this until it's $20. Which sucks because I am mega-hyped but realistically with this huge backlog and lots of much bigger stuff in the pipeline, I don't know if I could forgive myself for wasting a free game on a movie game when it'd be $20 in a couple of months. No matter how much I'll love it (...and I will love it... like I'll sneak it into bed with me when the wife's not looking and cradle it like a child).

I watched the walkthrough video. Going to Peter's bedroom and changing suits is nifty. Stealthy Spider-Man is always cool, too.

I am, it's just... 60 game backlog, Wii U/3DS/PS3 and 360 all to support with new goodies throughout the year, I just have to be choosier. Shovel Knight comes out next month and Mario Kart the month after that so I should beat some stuff before that and hold off on Spidey. The summer drought might free up some space to beat other stuff so I can get to it.

I'll probably wait until I can get it preowned, recently a lot of games have been boring to me and I rarely play them (even games like gta v) so $60 seems like a waste of money.

Well, I'm not too impressed with what I've seen. But I'll still buy it. I can't resist a decent Spidey game. Was anybody else hoping there would be WAY more suits available than what we're getting (which is still a lot)? lol I just love unlocking suits.

I was disappointed when I heard that they had THAT MANY suits, I'd rather have them invest their time and money in another department. 19 Suits is overkill for me, I'll always use the default suit because all the other suits aren't Spider-Man for me (Miles Morales etc., never bothered reading / checking any of the non-Peter Spideys/alternate universe Spideys out). That's also the reason why I'm considering canning my amazon pre-order so I can get the digital copy day 1, I don't need extra suits which means the pre-order DLC is useless for me. But if the majority of the players want *****loads of suits, then go ahead.

Suits are okay bonuses but man... I just... I don't dig them becoming a part of the gameplay, just like the menace system. If we had J.J. berating us, fine, but when I get punished for not doing random mini-quests, I hate it. The suits shouldn't be these stat changing additions to be leveled up individually, they should be cosmetic fan-service.
