while i had fun playing the ASM game. it did feel very rushed, limited and overall a bit cheap. I want a definitive spidey game already and that starts with the environment and its interactivity.

I agree. I had fun but shoulda just rented it. I also felt the Ravenholm level was SUCH an Arkham Asylum ripoff. Even the goons, the combat, setting, everything. Then that style of gameplay just disappeared in the game. It was all so sloppy.

So, do you guys think that beenox make another game for TAS-M2? If so, do you think that it will be similar to the last one(in terms of web swinging/fighting mechanics, graphics)?
Also, if Rhino is infact in this movie, how will they explain that in the new game for TAS-M2? Because, he was in the first game so.. :s Ahhhh confusing!!
I hope that they do change the web swinging mechanic and make it like S-M2's web swinging mechanic, just more fluid and upgraded and shizzzz :)

I don't even think there is a point to this game then.
And Beenox should just stop making Spidey games. I liked Shattered Dimensions, but after that game it just went downhill.

Guys which is better, Edge of Time or Shattered Dimensions? I need a new spidey game fix.

Shattered Dimensions.

However, if you want something older and a bit more nostalgic, Spider-Man for PS1. The graphics are dated but its still fun as hell.

And if you don't like the PS1 versions graphics, just get the PC version.

If Beenox are making a sequel game, I don't know how it's gonna work considering they already used Rhino is the first game.

The events of the first game happen between the 1st and 2nd movie so the next game could happen between movies 2 and 3. No references to Rhino needed

It would be weird though if Rhino has an origin in the movie though.

They didn't kill off Rhino in the game so Beenox could use him again if they needed.

Yes, but what if his origin is explained in TASM2? Then it defeats the purpose to use him in TASM game because that happens between the first and second movie. Also, what if he's mechanical in the movie?

When do you guys think they'll officially announce the second game?

I guess we'll have to wait and see. It's possible the origin of Rhino won't be explained in the movie and he'll have very minor development or backstory, if any at all. Either way, the game does take place between the first movie and the second but it doesn't serve as a prologue for what happens in the second movie. The game is set in the same universe as the movie but it's like they're happening on different planes of existence.

The game isn't canon so there's many different ways they could tweak his design even if he ends up having a mechanical suit.

There might be a leak or something around the time of CC this summer but my guess would be either the Tokyo game show in October or GDC in early November.

They might just announce it at NYCC like they did last time.

Right around this time of year is when they would make an announcement for a Fall release of a Spider-man game. I think we should take this as a good sign that nothing has been presented because that means Beenox is solely working on ASM2 the game. With no Spidey game coming this year, that gives them the ability to create a stronger, higher quality title for the tie-in.

You know what would be a bomb ass mechanic that I wish a developer would do...if I were designing the game, I'd definitely make some memorable "Spider-Sense" moments but give players complete control of Spider-Man's body.

For instance, not do the quick time events. I think it'd be cool if a scenario played out like...you're charging an armed robber with a machine gun. He sprays a wall of bullets at the player. The spider-sense prompt comes up and you have to hit ( ) button to enter the spider-sense mode. *Similar to Spider-Man 2*

Spider-Man jumps towards the bullets and, taking a page from the second or third issue of Ultimate Spider-Man, players can use their super agility to avoid the bullets. So the left stick can turn Spider-Man's lower half and the right stick controls Spidey's upper half. Players can bend and twist Spidey in various directions depending on the sprayed bullet pattern.

Hopefully that's clear?
