I think the mp3 player should be your own tunes as well....and Beenox is really good for responding on Twitter. They responded to me!

I'll tweet the mp3 player idea to them once the game is announced. No point in doing it now without even knowing a single thing about the game. They might think it's not required since next gen consoles have that functionality out of the box already (you can listen to music while playing any game).

I wonder who's the new main creative director for the Spider-Man projects after Dee Brown.

@kbrooksgohan, interested in sharing the tweet or at least the feedback you received from them? I'm just curious!

I'm hoping they redo the webswinging - sticking to satellites or whatever was quite odd, and it made my girlfriend laugh at me :(

I think if they used swing style from previous games, TASM would have been more glitchy
It would be harder to expect better effort for next gen

I really hope Beenox don't let us down this time.
I have a feeling they've been listening to the fans and might have a few surprises up their sleeves.

I've seen that Beenox twitter says that they usually look into forums (answering to a link to this very thread) to hear the fans. So there's a high chance that the big complaints we have about TASM 1 are getting resolved for TASM 2 (or whatever the hell it is lol)

I feel bad for some complaints now actually. :( I don't want Beenox to get the impression that they are bad. I actually really, really like them. It's just that the result leave some things to wish for, and I hope they adress that.

I hope Beenox also reads things that we appreciate, you know. I still Think Shattered Dimensions is one of the more fun Spidey games, even though the combat and enemy goons are lacking. I also really like their storytelling at times.

I'm pretty sure it's the guy from Shattered Dimensions returning (yes!!), coupled with someone else.

You will be missed Dee Brown. Could've listened to you talking about TASM game for hours without getting bored.

Anyone knows what he's up to now?

He hasn't tweeted a single thing since his last day at Beenox almost a year ago.

What if the survey is in reality a pole in wich we chose one villain for the game?
I mean i could see that happening since the game (if it is TASM 2) will be released in 7 Months...

Eh, that's a bit of a stretch. The game will most likely be finished by the first week of November with the remaining time used for polish and resolution before the game has to be packaged and shipped.

I don't know if Brown has Facebook, but the official TASM game facebook is doing a fun survey about Spidey villains, using pictures from every Activision game.
Gotta check it out now
Hope it didn't go down

I hope to God that Beenox release some footage/or trailer on Saturday at CC as well as the public!
If not, somebody better leak it.

I think that, in order to experience the same level of awesomeness as the Arkham games, to truly feel like the hero you play as, they will need to build it all from scratch again.

I think that while they should take cues from the Arkham games in some parts, they should also remember that Spidey and Batman are very different.

While Batman is more about stealth, close combat, gadgets and a slower, more careful pace (which the Arkham games capture perfectly), Spidey should be more about speed, feeling a rush, "playing" with thugs, being all over the Place, epic brawls with supervillains etc.

If you ask me, they will need to change the combat alltogether, build it from scratch. I don't think Spidey should spend most of his time standing on the ground, fighting in very tight groups, parrying etc. They should keep the aspect of the Arkham combat that makes the moves vary, with flowing animation that adapts to the situation and area. But the way you're fighting needs to change.

I think Spider sense and Spider reflexes should play a much bigger part in the combat than it does now. Spidey should be in the move constantly, so you should be able to dodge a bullet while you're swing kicking another thug for example. I think there needs to be a Matrix/bullet time mechanic, as overdone it is in most games (but still pretty much made for Spidey). Beenox needs to pay a little less attention to the Arkham games' combat, and look more at Raimi's films. Sure, the combat in ASM reminded me a bit of the random crime encounter in the SM1 film. But I'm talking more about scenes like the car theif chase in SM1, the train fight in SM2, the underground fight with Sandman etc. If you're skillful, you should be able to clear a room in seconds and the thugs would think "What the heck just happened?".

Think almost of Spidey's special moves in MvC3. Fast and all over the place, never standing on one spot.

It's very hard for me to describe in text what I imagine in my head right now. But I just don't feel like Spidey when I'm standing in the center of a ring of thugs. To me, I feel that Spidey would woop their asses before they'd be able to reach him and surround him like that. Sure, that could make the enemies underpowered, but I think the challenge should be more about always being in the move and use your reflexes and spider sense effectively to avoid being shot etc. Because in the comics, Spidey would have no problem taking out a bunch of unarmored, non-superpowered thugs, even the mutated ones in ASM.

The swinging system is obvious.

However, they should take a big look at the Arkham games when it comes to references to other characters, easter eggs, living characters, presentation of story, faithfulness to characters and the world they live in, visual style (in the way that it doesn't need to try to look "realistic") and so on.

SM2 swinging and the game will be 10x more enjoyable. Nuff' said.

I think Beenox just confirmed we're getting a trailer tomorrow, along with a screenshot of the game they're developing.

From twitter:
Beenox said:

In other news it seems that TASM is coming to PSVITA for 40$ on November 19th.
