The show was actually pretty decent and introduced and gave air time to characters who don't normally get the limelight. I only know who some characters are thanks to that cartoon.

You can tell that it did take inspiration from the first X-Men movie rather than the animated series eg Sabretooth's design, but it did show what "teen" X-Men would be like hence why I would prefer MCU X-Men to be older.

Here's a question: Should MCU's Rogue's white hair be white streaks that frame her face like in the top left pic of Frodo's post aka what the movies and X-Men Evolution did, or should it be more of a large tuft of hair like in X-Men 97?

I think she's guaranteed for the first film! Probably even moreso than Jean/Storm since those two were were in Apocalypse and Dark Phoenix. So a Rogue movie appearance would be a lot fresher and interesting.

I also think Famke/Halle will appear in Deadpool & Wolverine, so thats another film that Rogue won't be in.

How about Cailee Spaeny? Priscilla showed she could do the southern belle act while Alien: Romulus covers her action chops. If we get Butler as Gambit, can have an Elvis and Priscilla pairing!

Cailee definitely has that Gail Simone Rogue look. Like more Hallmark mid west heroine than Claremont’s butch femme look so I would definitely call her a contender

I am utterly embarrassed! I meant "I wanted someone younger for Shadowcat." Why would I randomly want a Jewish actress for Rogue while suggesting someone non Jewish as a casting suggestion?

MCU should make Rogue being Mystique's adoptive daughter. And show us flashback when she was a brotherhood former member (several years before joining x-men) alongside Mystique, Pyro, Avalanche, Toad. Magneto was their headleader

I don't care to see Mystique, and I hope she doesn't show up very early in the MCU's X-Men.

I would like to see Rogue developed well first before they connect her to Mystique.

According to me they must be active since years when we'll see their debut in MCU and I want her being adopted by Mystique in reboot
So I prefer to see her relations with Mystique in flashback (adopted since she was teenager, now a young woman in 2026)
