The Antisocial Network (MGM) - GameStop/Wall Street Chaos

...are they really going to call it that?

I mean, it’s a title based on a book that hasn’t been published (or even written, really) about an event that isn’t even over with yet.

I think we can probably bet on a title change by the time this materializes.

MGM feels the pressure of releasing new content...

For sure but even as a tentative title for a pitch for a book, it... sucks.

They assume we're not already bored by these stories. Look at Tiger King. By the time those biopics come out, nobody will care. It's already forgotten.

We'll see. Unless this is The Big Short or Social Network style of quality.

But that's Fincher + Aaron Sorkin. Top them?

Already we'll have the Deep Impact VS Armageddon of the GameStop Stock movies.

I honestly don’t think I’ve ever seen studios move as quickly on a story as they have with this thing.

Like I said, it’s been a ****ing WEEK.

Netflix loves themselves some Noah Centineo.

Noah Centineo's dad must still be throwing that Legends of OZ millions Netflix way in the hopes of them making his son a star.

Look at the Chilean miners story, which had a happy ending. That captured everyone's attention for a few weeks. Made a movie and no one saw it.

I'm not even sure where the story is with this whole thing.

I mean, the whole GameStop thing, does it shed a lot on white collar financial trading and Wall Street corruption and ethics? Yes.

But I mean look at who really benefitted from that. GameStop execs. probably made millions off of that whole thing. In other words, the people who were trying to stick it to hedge funds just made the rich, richer.

Gee, it's almost like this was never some revolution of the little guy sticking it to the man in the first place and just some greedy internet trolls.
