So who won the previous match? Callahan or Kersey???

This round, I vote Predator 2

I believe I was the only one to vote so Kersey FTW!

For this one, I'm going with Predator as well.

Yeah, I was having a tough time deciding who to vote for in that match, probably would've voted for Paul Kersey, as well.

Yeah, as PemLam was the only voter I decided to end it there...IMHO Kersey would've smoked Callahan anyway.

My verdict is that in an open battle, Yulaw's super-strength/speed & martial arts expertise gives him a fairly easy win...so the Predator's best chance of victory would be stalking Yulaw in a darkened warehouse or some-such. That said, this is the Pred from the 2nd movie, who IMO wasn't as skilled a stalker as the Jungle Pred from part 1 :/

I'm going with Yulaw due to his speed/agility alone making him tough for the Pred to pin down, even from a distance ie. w/the plasma cannon. Add in his super-strength and fighting prowess @ close quarters, and you know the rest.

It's a tie if you include my opinion...but I'll be fair & exclude it for the City Pred to win 2-1!

Okay, next up is a bit outta leftfield...two corpulent cartoon powerhouses:

Mr. Incredible

VS.

Obelix
(Asterix)

Mr. Incredible (mainly because I know nothing of the other guy)

Mr Incredible wins!

Next up:

Jobe Smith
(The Lawnmower Man)

vs.

Andrew Detmer
(Chronicle)

If this was before Jobe became 100% virtual, then I'd give Detmer a slim chance, but after giving up his physical body entirely, Detmer has no chance of beating him.

I should've clarified; it's Jobe before uploading himself virtually & Andrew in 'Apex Predator' mode but at full physical health ie. before the gas-station explosion.

It can easily go either way depending on who strikes hardest first, IMO - either Jobe psych-subdues Andrew into submission/disintegrates him into early-'90s CGI-pixels;) or Andrew speed-blitzes him from above, like he did to the gang of bullies. I'd give Jobe the edge due to his matter-disintegration power, but he wasn't anywhere as mobile as Andrew & co. in Chronicle clearly were.

I'll still go with Jobe, only by a slightly closer margin.

I have 2 creations from classic children's movies.

Oompa Loompas from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

vs

The Flying Monkeys from The Wizard of Oz.

These 2 creeped me out to no end as a child. What do you think? Which is creepier?

The Oompa Loompa's from the original C&CF didn't bother me but the one's from the Johnny Depp version were creepy as hell.

That being said, the Flying Monkey's were nightmarish in any generation so they get my vote.

Creepier - the flying monkeys, even though the Wilder-movie Oompa Loompas are unnerving in a trippy way. The ones in the Burton/Depp remake did nothing for me at all.

In an actual fight, though? The flying monkeys again. The Oompa Loompas in all incarnations are pacifist by nature, so they practically lose by default.

The Punisher

VS.

Robo-Cain
(Robocop 2)

Does Frank stand a chance against the cyborg-behemoth from the Frank Miller-penned Robocop sequel?

Robo-Cain romps it home (though IMO Frank could've still put up a considerable fight given enough prep & resources)

Anyway, next up:

Crime Syndicate
(Qward/antimatter-universe)

suicide-squad-vs-crime-syndicate-jpg.jpg

VS.

Super Saiyan-2 Goku
goku_ssj_2_by_elninja75-d4w16sw.png

RULES:

  • Goku cannot upgrade to a higher SSJ level
  • Owlman has prepped for Goku & dossiered rest of Syndicate on him
  • This is post-Infinite Crisis Ultraman who gets his power from a yellow-sun (as well as from Qwardian Anti-Kryptonite)
  • Johnny Quick has managed to tap into the Speed Force, so doesn't rely on his super-speed drug

Fight takes place here:
