The Apatow crew should remake "Stripes"

no, the Apatow Crew are funny. But they shouldn't redo Stripes.

No, the Apatow Crew are not funny. Not to me anyway. They started off alright with their new brand of humour (if you can even call it new). But the novelty has warn off for me. The only guy who I class as funny is Paul Rudd. Seth Rogan is just a fat idiot who is only funny because he is a loser. He was the worst part of Pineapple Express IMO.

Anyway regardless of all that, this film should be left well alone. It's a bonafide comedy classic trying to re-make it with the "funny" people of today would be unbelievably ****e. You can't beat John Candy and Bill Murrey, so don't even try.

I approve this message

I'd rather have Apatow and co. stay original for as long as they can, thank you.

Meh, Jonah Hill wasn't that great in Superbad.

But c'mon, Ackroyd, Candy, and Murray. You can't touch them.

I love all the hate from people who are clearly just trying to be iconoclastic.

I'm not trying to be anything, I just don't find them funny.

Can I get an AMEN ?:applaud

(you should have said "Rogen and Jonah Hill")

:hehe: I'm hating because I hate them all!!! With the exception of Paul Rudd. I'm not hating them because it's "in fashion" or anything.

Them doing a military comedy in the same vein as stripes?

Them remaking Stripes? :wow:

Don't read much do ya? :oldrazz:

So I take it that you've liked hardly any comedies at all in the last 5 years then? Because honestly, what other ones have been worth talking about besides the ones they've made?

Sorry I didn't read more than the first post, which is who I was responding to.

I liked Tropic Thunder, loved the Simpsons movie, and I got some laughs out of Zohan, but for the most part no, I don't like most recent comedies.
