Drama The Bear (HULU/FX)

I wasn't expecting it until late summer at the earliest but I'm happy about that news.

Best Comedy of all time. :o

Another banger of a season and a significant improvement over the last season which I know most people had problems with but I still really enjoyed it for the most part despite the ending.

Episodes 7 and 9 were the BIG standouts IMO especially 7 which was just wholesome.

Also,

That Brie Larson cameo was everything lol

I liked it more than season 3 overall but it didn't reach the heights of the first two seasons. Since season 3 I presumed that 3 and 4 would feel like two halves of a whole and now having seen it, I really feel that way.

Ayo crushed it as usual and Jamie Lee Curtis was maybe the MVP of the season. Her episode with Carmy and the wedding episode were the two standouts for me. The latter felt like a mirror image of the Fishes episode from S2 and Brie Larson as the infamous Francine was hilarious.

If this is indeed the end I think it went out in a very The Bear way but it definitely felt like there could be some more story to tell here compared to, say, Ted Lasso S3 feeling like a finale and then coming back for more.

2 episodes in and enjoying it so far. I quite liked season 3 despite it not being as good as the first 2 seasons. But season feels a step up from 3.

Awesome. I feel there is still plenty of mileage in this show yet.

This will probably be the last one. There aren't many loose ends and the leads are more and more in demand in Hollywood.

I got a little sidetracked but I finally finished this today. The finale was a little anticlimactic, like I wasn't sure it was the actual end. Gonna need the next season to really wrap things up if it's really the final season.

Watched The Wedding episode last night, really good stuff. I didn't hate season 3 but this season has been a big improvement for me so far.

Finished the season today on the plane. I really enjoyed this season and yeah episodes 7 and 9 were absolutely the stand outs. There are definitely things left unwrapped up which they can pick up in another season and I am not ready to say goodbye to these characters yet to am glad we are getting at least one more.

Acting was top-notch & some stand-out episodes like the one where they all congregated under the table at the wedding, but I found my interest waning at times. The drama felt repetitive vs. the earlier seasons. Season 5 should be the last, there’s still enough material left to close the characters' journeys.

Richie is by far the deepest, most fleshed out character in the show for me.

The final episode with Syd, Carmy, Richie & Sugar was amazing.

It’s an intense show but it is not sustainable beyond one more season for me, I think.
