In honor of Kerouac's birthday, the progenitor of the movement that changed America, I wanted to begin this thread and discuss this mass collection of work that influenced a nation. I just recently began to delve into the vast amount of work these writers put out over the years, and I can't wait to chew through some more. What are your thoughts on these mad men and women? Were they brilliant with something to say? Or were they just weirdos who ended up being overly sentimental larks?
