Batman #614 during the Hush storyline when Batman nearly kills the Joker and is saved surprisingly by Jim Gordon. I just loved the way the flashbacks were portrayed, Jim Lee's art was pure eyecandy.

the man who laughs, arkham asylum, dark knight returns (part with joker), and one small story written by Dini in the tpb Batman: Detective. That's all i can think of right off the top of my head

It's not the best Joker story ever told, but I did enjoy The Reign of Emperor Joker.

I'm sure because I'm just starting to read comics again for the first time in like 15 years, you guys are all going to tell me that was crap and Superman stories don't count (technically, it was Batman that saved the universe).

But I liked it.

Batman #1
Five Way Revenge
Laughing Fish
Slayride
Soft Targets

And Batman #66...:o

What did you think of Reign of Emperor J? I just read so saw this thread as opportunity to bring it up.

The Joker's Five-Way Revenge
Arkham Asylum

:yay:

I don't even talk about that reading experience. At least every other comic you read will feel like a masterpiece compared to that trash.

Tear it up and smoke the pages.

No. I've ready everything mentioned in this thread admit everything is superior by stratospheres but I still have time to appreciate a little bit of trash. It's like how I mock Tom Green and refer to his fame as one of the worst periods of American/Canadian comedy but when I'm home alone I catch myself watching Freddy Got Fingered on cable.:o

But I would never catch myself reading Emperor J so your analogy isn't valid.

Yes it is x's infinity. Everyone is allowed to have bad taste once in a while and this is an example of mine. I'm sure you like things that suck.

^Yeah! That was good! Oh...and if movie counts, Mask of the phantasm...

My favorite Joker story other than the obvious is Batman Bloodstorm and DetectiveComics826

Soft Targets

I finally got a hold of TMWL. How do people rate that on thier Joker story list?

The animated comics had some great Joker stories!

If you like your Joker more on the twisted side, Morrison's recent issues are definently worth a read. His prose issue was brilliant.

Death In The Family, nothing better than the pure ownage of Jason Todd

Here's two Batman TAS Joker stories that I love:

Batman Adventures Issue #01 -
Joker: Laughter After Midnight
Batman Adventures Issue #03 - Joker's Late Night Lunacy
