i love this movie.
definitely in my top 5.

my favorite line is at the beginning when the dude calmly states

"Obviously you are not a golfer."

"Has the whole world gone crazy!? Am I the only one here who gives a **** about the rules!? Mark it zero! You think I'm fu**ing around? (***** gun) Mark it zero!"

One of my favorite films ever

I saw it again a couple weeks ago. After have watched it 10+ times I can still laugh through out the whole movie. Its just one of the funniest movies of all time.

It gets funnier each time I watch it . Its one od those rare comedies that can stillmake me laugh

I find this film exceptionally hilarious, and one that doesnt loose any of it's luster following repeat viewings. There's also quite a few memorable quotes, and a cameo by Asia Carrera.

Which needless to say, is great.

"A guy came into my house and pissed on my rug!"

I like this movie as well, nothing really made me laugh out loud but it gave out good quirky vibes.

It's very, very difficult not to love this movie.

it's one of my absolute favorites and one of those movies you can watch a few times a month and not get bored by it

It's insane, the first time I watched it I didn't think it was funny, but thank God I gave it a second chance. Best comedy ever as far as I''m concerned.

Awesome movie, my college roommate suggested it, watched it, then bought it, it's that sweet

The first time Bridged came on screen in Iron Man, me and my friend just started quoting lines from this movie to each other.

That rug really tied the room together.

Pop quiz, what is it that the Dude does? Is it...
A. Write a b****ing hook
B. rock needlepoint like nobody's business
C. Abide
D. Obliterate.

One of the greatest movies ever made.

John Goodman kills me every ****ing time.

Funniest film of all time. I can't get through a minute without cracking up at something or another. I have the Dude's sweater, whenever I wear it out to bars strangers buy me free white russians. Rez abides.

First time I saw this, I hated it. I didn't get it, it was dry and boring with little to no plot.

Then I saw it again and realized the error of my ways. It's now in my top 10 favorite films.

I feel that way regarding most of my favorite comedies. This, Dr. Strangelove, even Anchorman left me feeling "meh" after my first viewing but have grown on me more and more with each and every subsequent watch to the point where now literally everything is hilarious.

Compare that to the majority of most larger, more mainstream successful comedies which might cause some laughs the first time around through situational comedy or downright outrageousness, but get less and less entertaining the more times you see it. Ultimately it comes down to great performers giving us great characters with terrific writing. Most comedies nowadays have non-entities just acting out or living through gags happening around them.

This is what happens when you find a stranger in the alps!!! [/Comedy Central censor)

Whoa, Comedy Central actually showed this movie? But this is actually funny...

:csad:It pains me that there are people in the world who don't appreciate this movie.
