Does anybody else hate when you buy a movie and then a new better version of the dvd comes out, or even one with just a cooler cover. I bought the Big Lebowski a couple of months ago, and now a new tenth anniversary edition is coming out. I'm thinking of selling my old dvd and buying the new one.

Make sure to look at the extras first.

A lot of times those 10th or 20th anniversary editions are just a new cover...and nothing more. Well...maybe the menus on the actual DVD are new as well.

Most times it's a literal scam. Compare extras and see if this anniversary edition has more extras than your current copy, or a better transfer(which I highly doubt).

yeah, but that cover is all types of cool, and the website doesn't have any info on the special feaures yet, if it is a new cover I'll just print it out and tape it to the old one.

Heat. Now has a special edition I picked up as well.

I hate the DVD cases that have those extra snap-locks on the side. Is there really a concern that the DVD will escape?

Yea i bought the older Batman and Batman returns dvd to then find out the New special editions with better cases would come out a few months later...

it sucks right, So I'm probably gonna just print out this cover for the Big lebowski

I bought Scarface when it first came out on dvd, there have been like three special editions since then. Also I bought this box set of the 90's batman flix at Wal Mart then the quadrilogy came out like a year later, so I traded in the crappy set and got the cool one.
